Hello September!! Welcome to the 'ber months, my favourite time of year☺️ Been quiet on the socials and posting as it's been a busy few months in the clinic, as such I've limited appointments left in September. Please note that booking is through the link and a deposit is required for all appointments, non refundable if less than 24 hrs cancellation. As I'm sure everyone can understand, it's not sustainable to have late cancellations or appointment reschedules. Missed appointments are charged at full rate.

Wrapping up November and kicking off December with some CPD. Two days in person with for his RBPS course. Lots of learning and discussions around current understanding of pain science, exercise prescription, and how we (as therpists and patients) take the literature off the page and into meaningful practice.

I am very grateful for Greg coming not just to the UK, but Scotland to deliver this in person. Bringing multiple disciplines into one room to share knowledge. Massive shout out to for organising this opportunity. Wonderful to catch up with as its been too long!

Best sign it was a good investment in my learning journey.....I've got some new ideas, and I'm away to sort out a reading list to learn more.

February, the month of love ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Continuing to build on good habits, I'm prioritising self care this month. Loving myself enough to make sure that I check in and balance my life areas. So as well as family time, I've got some mate dates arranged, thanks to a book exchange I've a good few books to enjoy, and my workout goals are planned.

Did you make any resolutions? If you did, how's it going?
As a professional working in health and fitness, I often get asked what makes good resolutions and how to achieve them. By this point in the month, though, many people find that they're struggling with the new routine.
So what did I set, and how am I going to stick with it?

How many new year, new me plans do I have?
None. I haven't made one single resolution for the New Year. That's not to say I haven't looked at my goal setting for the next few months ahead. However, I have not resolved to change a thing. I've simply looked at what I'm already doing well and evaluated if I can do it better. Better means staying consistent in choosing the habits that provide the long-term benefits and being kind to myself when I choose something that only feels good short term. Meaning that I'm guaranteed a 100% success rate, and I never fall off the wagon, so to speak.
Realistic goal setting...start wherever you are and what you're already doing well, do it just a wee bit better.

🎄🎄🎄 That's classes wrapped up for the year, the clinic is still running on reduced hours while I take some time to spend with the family. Appointments are bookable via the booking link as I won't be checking messages as regularly over the festive period.

It's been a fantastic year and I'm already excited for what the next 12 months will bring. Thank you to everyone that has supported my small business, I really appreciate each and every one of you! You've allowed me to follow my passions and your trust in my abilities to help you on your wellness path means so much.

December already!!!

Been a busy few months working in the clinic and with my PT's. Helping people to move more freely and gain strength. Being able to blend movement and manual therapy into sessions means that you're not booking in with two different services.
Working with athletes to help them feel prepared before an event with prehab or massage has been very inspiring. Have loved hearing about all the amazing adventures folks have had. I'm very grateful to those who have trusted me when they've been in pain to help them get back to sport.
Not just for the sporty types, sports massage and gentle movement can really help with those aches and pains brought on from daily life. Again, the trust placed in me to be able to help is very much appreciated. Being in pain and not having a pinpoint moment that caused it can be quite draining, so I'm grateful to those who have reached out and taken charge of their wellbeing.

This year, I've been progressing my studies with Ali towards my Movement Therapy Diploma. For 2023, we've done deep dive anatomy and upskilled my clinical reasoning process. Looking forward to more clinic days in Southport next year to further develop my knowledge and skills.

Spooky Season!!!! We love all things Halloween here in clinic and not just because decorating with skeletons is socially acceptable.

Nearly that most wonderful time of the year.......Halloween 🎃🎃🎃

Clinic diary is filling up, so if you're looking for some tlc with a sports massage then get in touch.

We covered a lot of prehab/ rehab basics in class over the last month. Lots of early stage research for me to ensure that I delivered evidence based protocols. So an ideal time to visit if your rehab plan needs a refresh (or started coz you didn't have a plan in the first place.)
