I love my work and I run a very busy clinic as a Massage Therapist. I have developed my knowledge of the body, and how stress and other factors can damage the body, and how massage can aid health and recovery

Many factors decide how we recover and then maintain our health and one must be very clear that you are safe to have massage treatment. It’s very important if you have any medical issues or

concerns that you speak with your GP beforehand. Massage is NOT a substitute for medical treatment and guidance so we must be safe as practitioner and client equally. Your current health and past history are very important but I view every client I see with a blank canvas so to speak and try my best to advise and improve things for them going forward . I work from my home address in my purpose built cabin which I'm sure you will find as relaxing and special as I do. To get to my clinic travel up Main Street and take the third left followed by first left and I am third last house on the left. Parking is on the street but you may park across my driveway on the street when you arrive

My Story

As a young man I had the misfortune to be involved in two significant road traffic accidents within a year. Eventually things caught up with me and I suffered for many years with pain in my back. I decided to try and learn more about my own body and successfully completed the Remedial Massage Course in Bury in 2002 Practising since 2002. In October 2015 I successfully completed the Advanced course at The Northern where I gathered “tools” such as Japanese Massage and mobilisation techniques to compliment my massage techniques. I have clients from various parts of Dumfries and Galloway. I have a good reputation as a Massage Therapist but I'm not content to rest on my reputation. I do however love my job. Following completion of the Northern course in 2002 , I worked in Castle Douglas and quite quickly became busy. I became aware of the magnitude of people who were in need of good massage and that there was a growing throng of people who were looking for natural treatments to compliment orthodox medicine. I have developed my knowledge of the body, and how stress and other factors can damage the body, and how massage can aid health and recovery. As I mentioned earlier, I started work as a Massage Practitioner in Castle Douglas but due to family commitments I found it very difficult to continue working away from home, so I took a risk and set up a Massage Clinic at my home in Dalry in 2005. On 1st November 2019 I was invited by Jayne (Grimwood) to and set up a new clinic at her hair salon “Hair By Janye~ 26 Main Street, Dalry and am very happy with the set up and my relaxing treatment room.
