Getting contraception should be quick and easy. At Allied Pharmacies, you can start or continue the pill directly at the pharmacy—no GP appointment needed.

This NHS service is free, confidential, and convenient.

What is the service?

The Pharmacy Contraception Service lets you:
• Speak to a trained pharmacist
• Get the contraceptive pill in one visit
• Avoid waiting for a GP appointment

What pills are available?
• Combined oral contraceptive pill
Taken daily for 21 days, then a 7-day break
• Progestogen-only pill
Taken every day with no break

The pharmacist will help you choose the best option for you. If the pill isn’t suitable, they can advise you on other methods or refer you to another service.
