I see it so often—that "heavy" feeling we all carry from stress, posture, or just life getting a bit too loud. The Stress Buster is my favorite way to help you drop those shoulders back down where they belong. It’s 30 minutes of focused work on your neck, head, and upper back. No fluff, just targeted relief to help you feel like you again.

It’s £35.00 and 30 minutes well spent.

I’m really looking forward to starting a new Introduction to Pilates programme this February at Horsley Village Hall. 🌿

This 3 week course is written specifically for the absolute beginner. It is a great opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Pilates in a small, relaxed setting with a maximum of 10 students.

Once you’ve completed the programme, you'll be ready to move straight into our new Monday morning Beginner class at 11:00am.

If you’re looking for a way to get moving that feels empowering rather than like a chore, this is for you. My home-based classes use simple, boxing-inspired movements to help you tone up, release tension, and most importantly boost your mood.

🌿 Movement that clears the mind, a 35-minute escape from the daily mental load

🌿 For all levels & abilities: I provide modifications throughout, so you can move in a way that feels good for your body

🌿 Flexibility: Join me live, or use the recording I send afterward to fit your workout into your busy week.

This affirmation has been on my mind a lot recently after making a promise to take better care of myself. I’ve always been good at looking after others, but this year, I’m allocating more time to build a better relationship with myself.

Learning to feel safe in uncertainty is a big step for me. In the past, I’ve felt a need to control everything, but that only fuelled my anxiety and made me unhappy. After losing loved ones, that feeling was heightened, it felt like being in deep seas without a life jacket. I’m sure many of you can relate to that feeling. However, I’ve learned that the more we try to control, the harder it is to stay afloat.

To find my balance, I’ve introduced two daily habits:

• Daily walks: Rain or shine, I get outside. Connecting with nature is incredibly powerful for mental wellbeing.

• Guided journaling: I’m following a 6-month journal focused on reflection and growth. While these "conversations with myself" can be challenging, they are so necessary for healing.

By letting go of the need to control, I’m starting to find a sense of peace.

Reflexology for me is the ultimate stress buster as it helps relax mind and body, relieving tension and aiding better sleep!

I regularly had this treatment in my 20s when I was working my way up the corporate ladder to help manage anxiety and depression. My belief in Reflexology and holistic health gave me the courage to leave the rat race behind in 2009 and retrain in Complementary Therapies. I've never looked back!

Hello, I’m Amanda Hughes and the founder and owner of House of Equilibrium, creator of Boutique Pilates & Wellness Studio and “The Garden Room Holbrook”.

I'm a Health and Wellness Coach which embodies many hats including Pilates Teacher, Boxing Fitness Instructor, Massage Therapist, Mindfulness Teacher and Holistic Practitioner.
