I find that if I can organize my diary and get classes written on a Monday it puts me in a much calmer place mentally for the remainder of the week. It also allows me to plan time to work on myself to keep my cup topped up.
If you are feeling a little low try and carve 10 minutes into your day to do something for you. Even if you can only find 5 minutes utilize it, sit down one hand on your heart and the other on your belly and just take some calming breaths in and out. Being present is everything 💝

This time of year can be particularly difficult for many. The dark mornings and soon to be early dark evenings can have a real negative impact on our mental and physical wellbeing.
This morning, I sat in my dressing gown watching the rain outside, feeling a little low, thinking I can't be bothered with anything today.
However it's now 2.30pm and so far today I've written this week's Pilates lessons, written an additional home practice Pilates workout and recorded it. And just returned from a walk around Darley Park.
For the last week or so I’ve been challenging my thoughts and feelings when I catch myself in the above frame of mind by participating in any kind of exercise to get me moving. This has been for around 10 and 20 minutes, which isn't too long. What I have noticed by the end is, I not only feel better mentally and physically but motivated to do something else.
So folks the mantra for this time of year is “Remember the motivation comes after “.

Today is World Mental Health Day. Let us use this day to support better mental health by making a pact with ourselves to make more time for ourselves to improve our wellbeing.
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices.
It is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. We all have mental health and just like our physical health we need to take care of it.
This subject is very close to my heart. I have been working with clients and businesses since 2011, offering a diverse range of services, to help raise awareness of, and improve this through movement, massage therapy and practicing meditation/relaxation techniques.
