HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!!! 🌞🎉🐑

Today started the Five Acres way… with mucking out, poo picking 💩 and outdoor games! Honestly, nothing says “living the dream” quite like chasing wheelbarrows around before lunchtime 😂

We also went to visit the lambs… who are now somehow the size of small horses?! 🐑 Every time we see them they’ve grown another leg length overnight!

Cooking School was BUSY today with toasties, wedges and salad on the menu 🥪🥔🥗. The kitchen smelled amazing and there may or may not have been some very serious discussions about who made the best wedges 👀😂

This afternoon was EXTRA special as we celebrated Emma’s 20th Birthday!!! 🎂🎉

Emma made brownies at home with her mum instead of a birthday cake and honestly… ICONIC behaviour 🍫👏 Why have cake when you can have brownies?!

We celebrated with pass the parcel, dancing, singing, laughing and enough excitement to power the National Grid ⚡😂

AND a massive shoutout to Gabrielle for winning ANOTHER medal in Taekwondo 🥋🏅 At this point we may need a separate trophy cabinet!!

Happy Friday everybody -what an absolutely fabulous, fashion-filled, fish-and-cake kind of day we’ve had! 🎉✨

This morning we set off on a very important mission… magazine hunting! 📚🔍
Megan showed impeccable taste by choosing Vogue — clearly future editor-in-chief material 😉

Once back, our inner fashionistas were unleashed after getting inspired by the upcoming release of The Devil Wears Prada 2 👠👜
The creativity was flowing faster than Miranda Priestly’s opinions! We designed our own dream outfits, choosing colours, materials, accessories and plenty of fabulous details. There were bold looks, glamorous looks and a few outfits that may or may not have belonged on Paris Fashion Week! ✨👗🧥

Then it was time for cooking school! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳
Today’s menu: fish, new potatoes and mushy peas 🐟🥔
A huge well done to everyone — some very impressive chefs in the making! Gordon Ramsay would’ve had nothing to shout about today! 😄

This afternoon we returned to our fashion masterpieces, cutting out clothing pieces and creating our own outfits. The room was bursting with creativity and style — honestly, we may need to start booking tickets for our first fashion show soon! 👖🧣👗🧦🧢👙👚👘🥻🧥

To finish off the day, we celebrated Sue’s birthday with chocolate cake 🎂🍫
Safe to say there were smiles all round… and probably a few chocolate-covered fingers too! 😆

We’d also like to say a MASSIVE thank you to Steve and Ashleigh for providing their services and support recently. We loved giving them some thank you gifts from Tesco along with a beautiful fingerprint tree made by everyone 💛🌳

Happy Thursday everybody! 🌟

Today we headed off on a little trip to Tesco 🛒👀
We can’t say too much about what we were getting because certain people enjoy keeping an eye on our posts 😂 but all will be revealed very soon!
Megan also found an absolutely hilarious card that had us all crying with laughter 🤣

Cooking School was a huge success today with everybody making delicious jacket potatoes with ham salad 🥔🥗
They looked amazing, smelled amazing and tasted amazing too! Fantastic work chefs 👏👨‍🍳

This afternoon we had a dance session to keep everybody motivated and moving 💃🕺
There was lots of dancing, singing and some very questionable noises that definitely belonged on a talent show… just maybe not the final 😂🎤

Our sensory garden is coming along brilliantly 🌼🌿
A massive thank you to Ashcourt who visited us today with concrete ready to be laid. It’s so exciting watching everything come together! 🙌

Happy Wednesday everyone 😁

WE ARE HALF WAY THROUGH THE WEEK!! 🥳👏

Today we’ve been chatting all about feelings, emotions and the things we do to help ourselves feel calm when we’re stressed, sad or angry. We also shared what makes us feel happy, excited and smile from ear to ear 😄 It’s Mental Health Awareness Day, so it was lovely to have such positive conversations together 💚

We completed some absolutely fantastic work today and got creative in arts and crafts making our own “cups of positivitea” ☕✨
Not real tea unfortunately… although there may have been a few disappointed faces when nobody got biscuits 😂

Our positivitea cups were filled with lovely messages and reminders to be kind, positive and supportive to each other 🥰

Cooking School was smelling AMAZING today too 🤤 We made homemade beef burgers with wedges and salad OR creamy carbonara pasta… safe to say there were some very happy tummies! Huge well done everybody 👏🍔🍝

This afternoon we enjoyed a relaxing wellbeing afternoon, taking some time to unwind and chill out together… and of course we finished the day properly with a lovely hot chocolate ☕🍫 because self care = cosy drinks and snacks 😌

A huge WELL DONE to Daisy who got Star of the Day/Week ⭐🐶
Daisy shared that when she feels upset, the thing that helps calm her down is hugging her pets. She has two lovely dogs who clearly deserve an award for emotional support and cuddles 🥹❤️

Happy Tuesday everyone! 🌟

Today at Five Acres we’ve been celebrating International Nurses Day and honestly… we think nurses deserve medals, cake, naps and probably a lifetime supply of tea! ☕🏅

This morning we became mini first aid experts, cutting, sticking and creating our very own first aid kits. We learnt all about what goes inside them to help keep everyone safe. There may have been more glue on the tables than the paper at one point… but we move 😂✂️🩹

Cooking School had the building smelling AMAZING with homemade carbonara penne pasta and garlic bread. Safe to say there were some very empty plates afterwards and possibly arguments over the last slice of garlic bread 👀🍝🧄

This afternoon we got creative making thank you cards for all the incredible nurses out there. Their hard work, dedication and kindness never go unnoticed and we wanted to show just how much they are appreciated 💙

We also learnt about the inspiring history behind International Nurses Day by reading all about Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole. Two absolute legends who helped change healthcare forever 🌟📚

The foundations for the sensory garden are coming along brilliantly and it’s amazing to see all the progress being made already 🌿🌼

And of course, our animals have been thoroughly spoiled today. Mucked out, cleaned up and fed like royalty. We can confirm they are all happy, fluffy and demanding more snacks 🐑🐴🐓

Happy Monday everybody! 🌟

We’ve hit the ground running this morning and got stuck into some brilliant work completing our “All About Me” worksheets! We chatted about our best skills, goals for the year, favourite activities and the people who mean the most to us. Safe to say we’ve got some future superstars in the making… and at least three people whose main skill is “talking” 😂

Cooking School was in full swing too with homemade toasties, chips and salad on the menu. The toasties were golden, the chips disappeared at record speed and the salad was… well… definitely there 🥗🤣

This afternoon the animal team were out mucking out, feeding up and giving all the animals plenty of love. Happy hooves, wagging tails and smiling faces all round today! 🐴🐑

The lads have also been busy outside helping with the sensory garden transformation. We’re still laying the foundations and getting everything prepared, but it’s all starting to come together already! Thomas helped with the whacker plate today and took his job very seriously… we think he may have found his calling 🚧😂 Lots of teamwork, hard work and excitement for what’s to come!

It’s all happening at Five Acres and we can’t wait to see the finished result 🌿✨

Happy Friday everyone! 🎉☀️

What a brilliant way to end the week at Five Acres! This morning we got creative making birthday cards because somebody very special turned the big 1-8 today! 🎂🎈 Card-making skills were flying everywhere, glitter may still be stuck to half the building, and there was definitely some very serious artistic concentration going on 😂🎨

At cooking school, the team absolutely smashed it again making a delicious mince dinner and a Chinese chicken curry with rice 🍛👏 Safe to say there were some very happy tummies today. Gordon Ramsay would’ve been proud… maybe without the shouting 😆

This afternoon we celebrated Katelyn turning 18 YEARS OLD!! 🥳🎉 She even shares her birthday with David Attenborough which officially makes today extra legendary 🌍🦒🐒 Happy Birthday was sung very loudly (and slightly out of tune in places but full of love 😂), cake was enjoyed, and the celebrations continued outside with games, laughter and plenty of fun.

We also got stuck into some mucking out because at Five Acres the jobs never stop… glamorous life isn’t it! 🐴💩😂

A fantastic week all round with smiles, laughter and lots of memories made ❤️

Happy Thursday everyone! 🌟

What a brilliant day we’ve had at Five Acres!

This morning in arts and crafts we got busy making thank you cards for the amazing workmen helping bring our plans to life. Honestly, they deserve medals… and probably unlimited tea and biscuits too ☕🍪 None of this would be possible without all the hard work happening behind the scenes!

Meanwhile, Cooking School turned into a five-star restaurant today 🍛😂 Lunch was homemade Chinese chicken curry with basmati rice and it smelt so good we nearly forgot to take photos before everyone tucked in!

This afternoon we enjoyed some fresh air outside making the most of the lovely weather before heading back in for a VERY energetic Just Dance session 💃🕺 Safe to say… some of us have definitely missed our calling as professional dancers, and some of us absolutely have not 🤣

To finish the day we relaxed with a movie and a well-earned chill out 🎥🍿

Happy Wednesday everyone!

What a sweet (literally!) day we’ve had at Five Acres 🍫

Today was all about recycling chocolate… the best kind of recycling if you ask us! We melted down Easter eggs and mixed them with marshmallows to create some delicious marshmallow crispy chocolate squares. Safe to say, they didn’t last long 😄

After all that hard work (and taste testing!), we got our marigolds on and tackled the washing up like pros.

We then enjoyed packed lunches together, which went down a treat.

Meanwhile, our amazing gardening gang were hard at work tidying up the entrance and laying down fresh stone. It’s looking better already!

A big shoutout to Connor for completing his farm journal… well done, you smashed it 👏

Happy Tuesday everyone! We hope you all had an amazing weekend ☀️

This morning was a BIG moment… we moved the lambs into their outdoor enclosure! 🐑 We’re not crying, you are… honestly it feels like they were tiny babies five minutes ago and now they’re basically teenagers with attitude.

We’ve also been busy bees completing worksheets around the site and annotating what we could see 👀
We even got our hands on an amazing drone aerial shot of the site from Lee Digimedia and labelled it all up… safe to say we felt very professional (move over Google Maps 😎)

In the kitchen, things got delicious… homemade quiche, peas and new potatoes were on the menu 😋 (we may or may not have gone back for seconds…)

This afternoon we turned into garden designers and created our own sensory gardens. So many fantastic ideas! Although… a hot tub kept popping up as a “sensory feature”… we’re not totally convinced, but we respect the vision 😂
