Slow intentional Saturdays.

I was lucky enough to spend this Saturday with amazing likeminded people doing what I like best, food and yoga!

Lunch at the Pig and Pastry and a slow Saturday reset of yin and restorative yoga and yoga nidra with

Absolute bliss!

We had to pop into the 2 many wines bar for a glass of the good stuff en route to the train station. Back home in my jammies by 8pm. My kind of day out out!

Welcome 2026 • welcome January. As we find ourselves in mid-winter, what can we learn from nature? Nature is at rest, conserving energy for the spring season ahead. So if you don’t fancy jumping out into the world at full speed, join the club! Winter is not a season for doing it’s a season for resting, restoring and hibernating. How do you know if you are on track if you don’t give yourself permission for stillness? How do you hear your inner knowing if there is no quiet. So join us in rest this month. Give yourself permission to rest this month. Nature will start to awaken soon, and your time to awaken will come 🌱✨

Solstice blessings to you all • at 3:03pm today the sun reached its most southernly latitude meaning here in the northern hemisphere we have the shortest day light hours. And although winter has only just begun, we now tip back into the lightest half of the year.

Winter can be a tricky time for many, but instead of wishing it to be spring, try being here now. Embracing everything that winter has to offer. The quiet stillness. The deep rest. The introspection. Try to be present and embrace it all. Slow down and cosy up. You might even find elements of this season you enjoy?

For me it’s slow dark morning sipping my coffee by candle light before the family wakes up. Reading by the fire. Shutting out the noise. Enjoying the daylight hours.

Let me know how you find navigating winter in the comments.

And that’s a wrap • thank you to all those that have attended my classes this year. I’ve loved every minute of it! We wrapped the year up gently with our Winter Solstice Workshop today. The focus was on rest as we prepare to hunker down and get cosy and still over the winter.

There are lots of exciting things happening next year, so make sure to keep an eye out for those.

I’ll reply to all messages Monday/Tuesday next week as for now I’m so tired and won’t be moving from the sofa, keeping warm by the fire.

As nature softly settles in to deep sleep how can we use this month for quiet reflection?

December is a busy old month with Yuletide celebrations, so how can we carve out a bit of stillness?

See if you can carve out a bit of quiet amongst the chaos this month to start to reflect on list last calendar year. What are you proud of? What didn’t you quite pull off? What do you want to focus your energy on next year? What are you ready to release to make space for something new?

Winter is not the season for doing, striving, achieving but is the perfect time for reflection, resting and realigning with yourself.

My December newsletter has landed in your inbox today just in case you hadn’t seen it yet.

Skandasana has to be one of my favourite poses! Mind you I have many favourites!

Swipe left to see the little flow we’ve been playing with in class the last few weeks. Can you tell that I’m struggling in such a small space with the proximity of the walls 😆

Early morning yoga, sauna and plunge pools? Oh go on then! Followed by coffee and cake and a wander through Hamsterley Forest 🍂

What a beautiful chilled weekend doing very little really! I did however, get to spend some quality time with my two eldest children. We don’t get to spend much time together these day due to work, gym and socialising (how it should be when you’re 18 & 19 yrs old). Loved every minute ❤️

Balancing vata dosha • get out in nature 🌳 🍂 I mean really out in nature. No distractions. Be present. Take in the minute details. Ground into the earth and rebalance. Whenever you’re feeling a bit wobbly Mother Nature will most definitely help. Why not make it a non negotiable. But make it the whole point. Not a means to an end I.e. exercise, do it just for the nature, letting go of any form outcome 💚

November is the month to nourish. The last month of autumn before we hunker down for winter.

An opportunity to release what no longer serves and focus on nourishing your mind, body and soul so we can head into winter with resilience and ease.

Think of the things that make you smile, and aim to do 5 minutes a day. Over this month we’ll be exploring ways to nourish ourselves now and for the long term.
