Had the absolute pleasure of looking in and around this beauty today. Escomb Saxon Church is the oldest complete Saxon church in England founded in 670-675 BC!

A shear fluke that the church was open for viewing so we got to explore the tiny space and even sit quietly for a few moments. I love places like this!

We then took a walk down one of the bridle paths and got to see and stroke so many ponies! All in all an amazing day!

Happy April • April’s bhavana is Creation. We’ve gentle awaken to spring through the month of March, now is our time to create.

What would you like your life to look like, feel like and sound like this year? What seeds can be planted now to create that life you envisage?

Small consistent steps in the right direction can make a big difference. Start now and your future self will thank you for it.

Well that didn’t quite go to plan! Wonky camera, and yoga poodle. But hey ho, this is real life!

Anyhoo, this is to say that we’ve been incorporating lots of spinal waves in this month’s sadhana (practice). Knees down, hips down or a good ol’ fashioned chaturanga dandasana. Or perhaps you skip this bit all together! Which is your favourite?

Join me in class from week commencing April 20th in a brand new venue! Message me for more info.

Thank you to the nine wonderful souls that joined me yesterday for our spring equinox workshop.

We started with a grounding practice rooting into the energy of spring, creation, growth and new beginnings.

Followed by practicing viparita karani mudra where we focused on reversing the flow of Amrita from the manipura chakra to the bindu chakra as a cleaning and rejuvenating kriya.

We then had an hours asana practice after clearing out the stale winter energies using ananda prana vinyasa.

Stopped for tea and cake - physically planted our seeds of intention into little terracotta pots.

Finished off with some restorative yoga and of course my favourite, yoga nidra.

I’ve had a wonderful day. I hope you did too 🌷

Happy international women’s day to all the wonderful women I know and those I don’t.

I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it with this amazing women

It started with a wellness workshop with in followed by lunch in a walk around Jesmond Dean and a very expensive glass of wine 😆

A wonderful and hilarious day reflecting on how much I’ve grown since we started going to Amanda’s yoga class at the gym 10 years ago from being a shrivelled root desperate for some TLC, to the happy, healthy confident women I am today and planning what my life will look like 5 years from now 🌱 from tiny seeds mighty trees grow!

Well hello March.

We are so ready to leave the dark and cold behind now, we’ve rested, now it’s time to awaken. But just like nature, there is no need to rush.

Start to think about how you would like the coming months to look, sound and feel like, and what small steps can you start to make to get closer to that.

Gently shaking off the winter and softly stepping out into spring 🌱

In other news my VR settlement agreement has arrived so I’ll be busy getting that over to the solicitors ‼️

No class tonight as I’m taking some time off this week over half term.

So here’s a photo of me, which I’ve been told by my Working Transitions Coach I need to do more of. That my audience wants to see more of me. Well I’m totally uncomfortable with sharing photos of me (I can’t be the only one?) but need to get used to it I guess. So queue wind swept selfie taken yesterday 😆!
