So I’ve not posted for a while, but something happened at work today that I was really pleased about 😊

A couple of months ago off the back of a Facebook challenge about unleashing your inner authority, and I’ve been puzzling for months about how to bring it into my workplace more. So I decided to email the head of staff wellbeing and arranged a meeting with him

We had our meeting and he was really interested in what I had to say and he said that I could do a lunchtime presentation and suggested today’s date, and I agreed

So I prepared quite a detailed presentation and we met to discuss the logistics, and it went really well in the end 👍

So all in all, I’m really pleased about that!

The story of Vanern Healing

MY STORY

I started “Vanern Healing” last year, after having my second reiki attunement, and quickly realizing that I wanted to offer treatments to the general public.

I discovered reiki over 10 years ago, when I was doing a full time demanding job in the public sector, and it was a god send. I had it as and when I needed it.

Fast forward to 2015, and after leaving a permanent job role that had made me very unhappy, and getting a Civil Service job for 2 years, I was doing some serious thinking about what work would suit me.

Did I want to work with people? Yes absolutely.

Did I want to deal with problem solving where issues were far from easy? No, but I knew that I still wanted to help.

My time with the Civil Service made me think fundamentally about how I really wanted to work with people. I eventually recognized that I wanted to work with people more intuitively. So in early 2016, I looked at where I could learn reiki, and then I had my first attunement in April. The second level attunements followed 6 months later.

Discovering reiki has helped me to understand my own energy so much more, as well as how I respond to other people’s. I sense things with people often, and I am naturally able to read their energy and feel what it’s telling me.

When I work with someone, I see pictures in my mind’s eye, much like when you visualize. I may see colours, or a word may come to mind. This can reflect the person’s experience as it is, and also give inspiration and hope in a healing way.

I already had many different helping skills from working with families, and I love that reiki is helping me to support people in a much deeper way. To have someone’s trust to support them to feel better from what can sometimes be very deep seated issues, is an absolute privilege for me. I am honoured to do it.

I chose to name my business after a lake in Sweden that my parents used to take my brother and I to when visiting my mum’s parents during school holidays. I also wanted to bring something of my Swedish heritage into my business to give it uniqueness.

So if you like the idea of feeling better naturally, of having your energy revitalized, and refocused so you feel clearer, then I am here, and would love to help you take that time out for yourself, so you can start to feel better. More like YOU, your BEST you.
