Happy Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) Day!🏥

Our ODP's are integral members of our Theatre team, and the role can be broken down into 3 key areas:

- Anaesthetics: Preparing specialist equipment and drugs, and assisting the anaesthetist with administering anaesthesia💉
- Scrubbing: Passing instruments to the surgeon and ensuring sterile, safe conditions🪛
- Recovery: Assessing patients post-surgery, monitoring vital signs, and managing the patient’s recovery from anaesthesia🛏️

Today and everyday, we thank the team for all that they do💙.

As part of our celebrations for today and coming up on Thursday, our Senior Management Team arranged for Pamela's Ice Cream Van Hire to spend the afternoon at the hospital, treating the team to a well deserved ice cream🍦.

Thank you for all you do every day for our patients, your colleagues and the hospital💙.

Behind every tunic is a story, a journey, and a whole lot of heart💙.

For this , we asked some of our team what they would tell their 21‑year‑old selves. Their words remind us why nursing is more than a career, it’s a calling!

Today and every day, we thank our nursing team for their compassion, strength and unwavering dedication to patient care⭐.

A moment before the next chapter begins!🏥

Here’s our fantastic Imaging team with our final MRI patient using our current scanner, a piece of equipment that’s supported thousands of patients over the years.

We’re proud of the skill, care and teamwork that happens behind the scenes every single day, and excited to be welcoming our new scanner very soon⭐.

Reviews like this truly mean the world to us💙.

Our priority is always to make patients feel heard, supported and at ease, especially during moments of anxiety. Knowing their care made such a difference reminds us exactly why we do what we do.

Thank you for trusting us and for taking the time to share your experience! Huge shout-out to Emma and Ashleigh⭐.
