Happy Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) Day!🏥

Our ODP's are integral members of our Theatre team, and the role can be broken down into 3 key areas:

- Anaesthetics: Preparing specialist equipment and drugs, and assisting the anaesthetist with administering anaesthesia💉
- Scrubbing: Passing instruments to the surgeon and ensuring sterile, safe conditions🪛
- Recovery: Assessing patients post-surgery, monitoring vital signs, and managing the patient’s recovery from anaesthesia🛏️

Here’s our fantastic Imaging team with our final MRI patient using our current scanner, a piece of equipment that’s supported thousands of patients over the years.

We’re proud of the skill, care and teamwork that happens behind the scenes every single day, and excited to be welcoming our new scanner very soon⭐.
