Woodlands Hospital now has a state of the art AlterG machine, or Anti-Gravity Treadmill! 👍🏻

This will be particularly beneficial for my patients recovering from injuries or surgeries involving the lower limbs, such as ACL reconstruction, microfracture, meniscal repair or stress fractures.

The AlterG machine uses NASA-developed differential air pressure technology to reduce a patient’s effective body weight, allowing you to walk or run with significantly less impact on joints for rehabilitation, fitness, and training.

Users wear special shorts, get zipped into a pressurized air chamber from the waist down, and can select precise unweighting (from 20% to 100% of body weight) to facilitate pain-free movement, improve gait, build strength, and aid recovery from injuries or neurological conditions.
