💙 We’re excited to announce the launch of our new Perinatal Pelvic Health Service (PPHS) at CDDFT.

The service is here to support anyone who is pregnant or within a year of giving birth with concerns such as:
✔️ Bladder or bowel problems
✔️ Prolapse
✔️ Pelvic pain

Our friendly team of specialist midwives and physiotherapists are running clinics at University Hospital of North Durham, Shotley Bridge Community Hospital, Bishop Auckland Hospital and Sedgefield Community Hospital, with plans to expand into local Family Hubs soon.

Referrals can be made by your GP, midwife, health visitor – or you can refer yourself.

This is a big step forward in supporting recovery, confidence and wellbeing for new and expectant parents. 💙

To mark this year’s Baby Loss Awareness week here are the details of the Trust’s Baby Loss memorial services. Everyone welcome ❤️

🌸 Baby Loss Memorial Services 2025 🌸

The Chaplains of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust invite parents and families living with the grief of pregnancy loss or the death of a baby to join us for special services of reflection and remembrance.

These services offer a supportive and compassionate space for anyone touched by such a profound loss, including extended family members.

🕊️ Saquib Ahmed, Senior Chaplain at CDDFT, said: “These services of remembrance and thanksgiving are for anyone who has been affected by this very sad experience, including wider families and regardless of whether the loss was recent or in the more distant past.”

📅 Service dates and times:

Sunday 12 October, 4pm – Holy Trinity, Woodland Road, Darlington

Wednesday 15 October, 7:15pm – St. Cuthbert’s Church, North Road, Durham

These services are open to all, regardless of faith or background, and are intended to provide a moment of quiet reflection, solidarity, and remembrance for families who have experienced such a heartbreaking loss.
