I am currently in the process of updating this Reiki Ken page. I started the update on 22 October 2022, and will continue with the process, bit by bit, until it's complete (which I hope will be some time in the next month or so - life is rather busy around here!)

So, for now, please note that I offer distant Reiki sessions only (I haven't done contact Reiki regularly since the pandemic started in 2022). In her books on Reiki, the well-known Reiki author and world-renowned authority on the subject of Reiki, Penelope Quest, she tells us that distant Reiki is at least as powerful as contact Reiki. And it is, believe me! My years of experience of doing - and teaching - distant Reiki tells me, and my clients, just that.

Meeting Between Bread. Most of you should know me pretty well. I no longer accept very many friends because I feel it’s not for me. Almost every FB friend I have known on some level, you are not just a number. But if you are still on my FB, it’s because we have some connection. I would love to see if we can still chat more than just likes... I decided to participate in an experience called “Meeting between Bread”. The idea is to see who reads a post without a photo. We are so consumed with technology that we forget the most important thing: good friendship. If no one is reading this message, it will be a short social experiment. Do you want to learn Reiki from me? I am running another Level 1 course at the end of this month; two places are filled, and two are still available.

When I ran my previous Level 1 course, it was a real success! The students who completed it then went on to do their Level 2 with me earlier this year, and want to do their Level 3 in January next year.

The new edition of the Reiki Ken Chronicle is out now! It is free, and comes out every other month as an email attachment. This edition of the Chronicle is about the relaunch of my business. Next year will see my tenth anniversary, and with my eye on that, the relaunch is now. In the Chronicle you'll learn of my new websites (www.reikiken.com) for desktop and mobile devices, of the approach of my new public leaflet, and of courses in 2019 for those who want to learn to do Reiki at either Level 1, 2, or 3.

Do you want to learn Reiki from me? I ran a Level 1 course last August, my first course as a Reiki teacher, and it was a great success. I am now about to start writing my Level 2 manual, and have pencilled in the end of November 2018 as a possible slot for the Level 2 course. I already have three people booked for it; as four is my maximum of students on each course I am looking for a fourth student, plus a stand-in. Are you interested in coming on this course? As I look back over the past nine years plus that I have been building up my practice, I feel really privileged to have been able to make such a positive difference to the health and lives of so many of my clients. (Take a look at the Testimonials page of my website, www.reikiken.com.)

All too often people come to me as a last resort, meaning the NHS and conventional medicine have been unable to help them. I see people with severe pain problems that get greatly reduced by the power of Reiki. I see people who come to me with mental health problems, problems that some of them have had all of their lives; and yet it so often simply takes the regular touch of Reiki for their minds to clear and their mental health problems just disappear.

Enhanced clarity of thinking is a common outcome of Reiki treatment, for at least most of my clients.

I always tell people that Reiki is so simple (its sole functions are to relax you and to speed up your body's natural healing process), and yet it is so powerful (in my own case I got rid of the crippling pain of osteoarthritis from both of my knees).

Reiki is actually used by many members of the medical profession (see the Reiki in Hospitals page of my website, www.reikiken.com).

Reiki has the backing of science, too. My other role is that of Research Co-ordinator of the UK Reiki Federation. It's Friday evening? Again? I don't believe it. Surely it was only five minutes ago when it was Friday the last time? Time is passing so quick; maybe I'm enjoying life too much, or maybe I'm too busy?! Or both? It has been a good week for me. I've taken two block session clients; one with a block of 6 weekly sessions, the other a block of 10 weekly sessions. And another new client - who is so interested that when she comes back for her next session she's bringing her husband. And all the other regular client work. Oh yes, and I started accepting payments via credit/debit cards for the first time, this week.

As if all of that heady stuff wasn't enough, my To Do List is finally showing signs of redundancy - I've finished the first draft of my new leaflet (first one in five years). Dragging it out from the depths of my thoughts and putting it all down on paper was the hard work; now I just have to sit down, and edit, tweak, and polish it.

Oh yes, and the website for mobile devices is nearly ready, too. When I take a week's holiday at the start of October, I'll have started on the last item on that soon-to-be-extinct list - the manual for my first Level 2 Reiki Attunement course.

There's quite a bit of background work going on, here at Reiki Ken. I'm designing a new public leaflet, and Richard, my web designer and I, are working on a mobile version of my website, www.reikiken.com. Both of these projects should be completed in the next few weeks. I've had a photo shoot here at my practice, for some new photos for the leaflet and the website. I've attached one here, as a sample.
