🚨New Skills🚨

Last week I attended some training with the fantastic ACT Middlesbrough - Recovery Solutions in the safe administration of Naloxone.

Naloxone is a drug that can reverse the effects of opioids, such as he**in, methadone, o***m, codeine, morphine, and buprenorphine. A naloxone dose can even save someone’s life if it's used quickly after they’ve overdosed on opioids and before emergency help arrives.

The kits will now be carried in my primary response bag and vehicles when I am at public events or the risk is identified.

Something a little different last night, Anthony Hutton was featured in a documentary called Surviving Reality, where he talked about the struggle he faced with mental health and the Never Throw In The Towel Project, a project I am privileged to work with, providing event medical and mental health first aid cover to their retreats.

Like most people in the event industry I'm smack bang in the middle of silly season so haven't been thinking about social media much recently.

I'll be back soon I promise, in the meantime I'm working flat out bringing excellent care to events all over the country, moving house and grafting my backside off on some top secret projects!

I came home to a lovely little surprise today, my HPAC ID card has arrived. It's taken a while to jump through all of the hoops as they verify my qualifications, right to work, identity and my background checks but it means that you, my clients know I'm legit and that you can be confident you're in safe hands. 🚨🚑

👋🏻 Hi I'm Kallaum, aka Kilo Mike. I'm an avid adventurer who lives for exploring the world - from a single day mountain biking in Yorkshire, to a several week self-sustained off-road expedition through the heart of Australia. After all, a good story never started with: "I stayed home and had a salad."

🫡 As an Air Cadet I tried all sorts and learned loads. One of the things was first aid - turns out I was pretty good and I used to compete in first aid competitions (yes that's a thing). That was 18 years ago. Since then I have continually pushed myself to grow my knowledge and skills.
