It’s been lovely working with young aspiring choreographers, giving them choreographic tools and supporting them to feel empowered and confident enough to explore their own ideas and creativity! Looking forward to seeing how their choreography develops over the Easter Hols ✨

The D Project is interested in hearing from and having conversations with dance artists who would want to take on casual delivery of one off projects and after school programs. Both established and newly graduated artists are encouraged to get in touch. Please message or call Debbie or Emma if interested.

TIN Arts are delighted to announce that our annual children and young people's dance platform, SLIDE, will return on Saturday 9th March 2024.

SLIDE 2024 will take place at Darlington Hippodrome Theatre and will be run in partnership with The D Project.

Groups wishing to perform will be required to attend rehearsals in programmed slots during the day in readiness for an evening performance (timings are subject to change). Friends and family members of performers will be able to purchase tickets to attend as audience members.

SLIDE 2024 is also the Durham and Tees Valley sub-regional platform for U.Dance 2024: a national programme of events offering high quality dance opportunities to young people.

U.Dance is open to performance groups for young people aged 11-19, or 11-24 with a disability. Groups selected by a panel of independent judges will have the opportunity to perform at Dance City in Newcastle on Sunday 14th April 2024 with further opportunity to be chosen to perform at the national festival from 12th-14th July which will be held in Liverpool. Further details can be found on the Dance City website: U.Dance - Dance City.

Any County Durham or Tees Valley dance group can apply to be part of SLIDE with or without committing to take part in U.Dance.

If you are interested in joining us in March and wish to perform as part of SLIDE (but not register for U.Dance) please contact Katharine Graham at katharine@tinarts.co.uk.

If you wish to register for U.Dance, please complete the attached registration form and send to info@tinarts.co.uk by Friday 19th January 2024.

If you have any questions about SLIDE or U.Dance, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Our vision is that everybody has access to the arts. Our mission is to remove barriers and increase access to high quality dance and performing arts.
