🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖 1000 MAKO 🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖

Today was a very special celebration at the hospital - with the 1000th patient to have a mako robot assisted procedure by myself at woodlands!

Since 2019, when I introduced the technology to the woodlands with the first robot assisted procedure in the region, this cutting edge technology has grown from strength to strength and has cemented its place as the leading robotic platform in the uk and worldwide

I am proud to have played my part in helping so many people improve their lives with Mako

Thanks to all of the team at woodlands for believing in this robotic technology from the start, to everyone at Stryker for their support, and of course to my patients for putting their trust in me

A lovely day with the mako 4 robot at Tees Valley today, with our first robotic patient of the day passed as fit for discharge by the physio team already, with a second patient just behind him.
And to cap the day off one of our patients from Whitby brought in some lovely gifts and a card for all the team - much appreciated !

Busy day with the woodlands mako robot today - 6 mako procedures and 6 happy patients at the end of the list, with some very wonky joints straightened out!
Hopefully they will all be enjoying the mako advantage in the weeks months and years to come! 👌👌💪💪💪🤖🤖🤖🤖

A lovely day for flying!

Off to teach and train European surgeons on Mako robotic joint replacement and share some Mako tips and tricks. Good to see Tees Valley Hospital flying the flag at the airport gate!

Mako 4 robotics has arrived with a 💥!!

1st list today of 4 mako hip and knee replacement patients at Tees Valley hospital :

🥇 1st Mako in Middlesbrough
🥇 1st Mako across the whole Ramsay UK group
🥇 3 of our 4 mako patients went home as day cases!!

The whole of Tees Valley Hospital and Stryker has been on 🔥 with this project- thanks especially to the hard working theatre team for their exceptional skills today, as well as the great ward and physio teams in getting so many patients home the same day, and of course to the slick installation from everyone at Stryker
