To buy a box of dispersible ASPIRIN (28 tablets) the cost in December 25 was £0.15p and today the cost is £3.67
Today a commonly used statin price has risen by 100 times for some unknown supply issues. There are plenty of other drugs that are the same.
Please support your local pharmacies otherwise at some point this would be unbearable for any business. Support means, buy any pharmacy related or day today stuff available from pharmacy at the pharmacy, use available NHS and private services and most importantly “understand that pharmacy today is struggling massively with rising costs with no equivalent rise in funding. The only healthcare sector that has not gone on a strike but went on closing shops meaning people are having to travel longer and struggle.
-Pharmacies are worse off than a year ago.
-The network faces a structural £2bn+ funding deficit.
-Pharmacy opening hours have fallen dramatically, with 75,000 fewer hours per week since mid-2023.
-Drug Tariff cuts and Category H changes are further destabilising medicines supply.
-Upcoming changes introduced by the 2025 Autumn Budget are expected to add millions in extra costs.
