TerraClean technicians know that in most cases a blocked DPF is a symptom of another problem that must be identified.

Here is an example of a car presented to a dealer. A clean would have been simple but it would not have made for a happy customer because the unit would simply re-block again.

As an authorised TerraClean service centre they identified the cause. In this case the engine was being starved of oxygen by one of the worst condition they had seen for many years.

This Honda CRV was presented to one of our service centres in "limp-mode" with several error lights relating to faults illuminated.

They carried out initial diagnostics to check if the unit was actually blocked. The onboard computer had logged over 60 grams of soot and measured 12psi back pressure, which is high. They then confirmed the back pressure with a manual pressure check.

Using the patented solution thy were able to clear the blockage on the vehicle which reduced the back pressure down to just 0.5psi and brought the vehicle out of limp-mode, then they carried out a road test and allowed the vehicle to carry out a successful regeneration👍

❌FAILED M.O.T DUE TO EMISSIONS ❌

This Peugeot 207 has failed the M.O.T twice due to emissions!

The garage the car was tested at had tried pour in additives, but the emissions were still too high... They explained this to the owner. A friend then recommended them to TerraClean ...

Diagnostics indicated that there were no specific problems with the vehicle, it was simply a build-up of carbon over time & mileage. One of our fellow dealers carried out the standard preventative maintenance service on this engine and it attained the MOT pass requirements at its first attempt.
