Through my training with the British Wheel Of Yoga you will be secure in the knowledge that I have undergone professional training. Anyone can practise Yoga, you don't need to be flexible! However you arrive, tired, grieving, anxious, new, scattered after a challenging day at work, know you are warmly welcome.

I've been quieter here as I've been processing the sudden loss of my mother-in-law and supporting my immediate family. I'm choosing to show up honestly and that's what I offer in my classes.

No performance, No expectations, no dress code.
A space to meet yourself, know yourself better, and to feel and move better in your life.

As we prepare to return to classes next week, I’d love to gently welcome you into the new year with seasonal wisdom. ✨

This quieter time of year invites us to reflect — on what supported us in 2025, and what perhaps didn’t. Winter gives us permission to pause. After the busyness of December, it asks nothing more than rest, recuperation, and rooting down. To be still for a while, trusting that the light and energy of spring will return in its own time.

Today I visited a client’s newly opened bookshop in Bishop Auckland, Eiledon Books and it was deeply nourishing to witness someone living out their dream. Angela’s shop is such a welcoming space, cosy reading corners, a beautifully curated and unique selection of books, including wellbeing, self-development, and local authors. A true invitation to slow down and linger.

I’ll be sharing more with my regular clients soon about our very own book club, something I’m really looking forward to growing together 📚

As we step back onto the mat, I’m excited to share space with you again, guiding you to listen to your body’s needs, cultivate introspection, and support nervous system regulation through mindful movement and rest.

What science shows ✨
(Physiological sigh)

• Rapidly calms the nervous system and reduces stress
• Helps release excess carbon dioxide, easing that “air-hungry” anxious feeling
• Activates the parasympathetic nervous system (your rest & digest mode)
• Can reduce anxiety fast
Neuroscientist has shared that this breath is something humans (and other mammals) naturally do,often without realising it, when we yawn, cry, or recover from stress.
This isn’t a trend.
It’s a hard-wired biological reflex. Yogis have been practicing versions of this breath for centuries, it's good to have the science behind it though.🤓

Bonus: you can do this quietly mid-conversation (aka the conversational breath). Might come in handy over the holidays… just saying.😊

Thank you, thank you, thank you for allowing us to hold space for you last night.

As we collectively transition into the quieter seasons of autumn and winter, we’re invited to move with acceptance rather than resistance, to soften into the natural slowing of the year, and to mirror that rhythm within ourselves.

We welcomed you into a space where you could slow down, soften, and gently feather the nest of your inner world. This gathering became an opportunity to hunker down and draw in warmth, light, and inner peace, just as nature begins to turn inward.

Tara guided you home to your body, unwinding tension patterns, soothing the nervous system, and opening space for deep rest. Each movement became a quiet ritual of release, a soft landing into the present moment.

From this embodied stillness, Jill The Gong Whisperer carried you even deeper through waves of sacred sound. With gongs, voice, and vibration, she guided you toward the still point… that timeless silence where grounding reaches every cell of your being.

You arrived prepared with blankets and cushions, embracing the invitation to slow right down, to nest, to be held, and to sink into stillness, just as the season invites us all to do.

Thank you for showing up with such openness and presence as we shift into this new cycle of gentle descent and inner warmth. 🍂✨

This lesson plan has been lovingly created, attuned to the slowing rhythms of the season. Autumn reminds us that we can't continually bloom as society would have us do. There is a deep wisdom in letting go, in turning inward and allowing ourselves to rest and renew.
My intention is to guide you back to your roots, to connect with the quiet pull of the Earth, and to remind you that by taking this time out, you are becoming more, not less!
As I’ve been crafting this session, I've also been nurturing my own creative flow. The journey of a leaf, its graceful descent, and its return to the soil plays a gentle role in our practice.🍁
I'm looking forward to sharing this space with you, weaving movement, stillness, and sound together, by the gifted Jill The Gong Whisperer whose sound bath will deepen our collective journey.

As we wrap up this term, I want to thank each of you for showing up, with your dedication, your presence, and your continued commitment to your wellbeing.

In classes this week we celebrated Diwali, the festival of light, honouring the triumph of light over darkness, wisdom over ignorance, and love over fear.

Through our breath and awareness, we turned toward the inner flame 🔥 steady, golden, and eternal remembering that we are beings of light. 🌟

As the clocks go back this weekend 🫣 and the darker days draw in its so valuable to seek out moments of brightness: step into natural daylight when you can, light a candle in the evening, meditate on your inner flame, and connect with those who bring warmth and light into your world.

New term starts 3rd November, duration 7 weeks and there are only a few precious spaces available.

I've had a number of enquiries recently, and the answer is yes 💯 beginners are welcome.
While many of my clients have been with me for years, every time they come to the mat, I invite them to approach the practice with a beginner’s mindset, to be open, curious, and willing to explore.
My intention is to offer a space where you can let go of the performative, productive outside world and simply meet yourself as you are, listen to the wisdom of your body, and take time to come home to yourself.
Week by week you’ll begin to notice subtle shifts, gaining insight into your movement and thought patterns AND habits, understanding what your body truly needs to move with more ease, feel safe, and soften into presence.
This is why I teach somatic movement, through slow, mindful micro-movements, we gently retrain the nervous system to release chronic, protective tension. 🤓
Imagine living and moving in a body that no longer holds all those protective layers.💡

Alongside somatic movement, I weave in breathwork, meditation, mobility, and Hatha yoga, the foundation where it all began.
