While the good weather, (mostly), continues, this is a good time to get outside and enjoy the many benefits of exercising outdoors, for both your physically and mental health, as well as your overall feeling of well being. It doesn't have to be too strenuous, something is always better than nothing.

Please remember to take some some water with you, (especially on hot days), as its important to keep well hydrated.

Gardening is a good way to exercise, increasing your strength, stamina, vitality and a is also a good way to de-stress and improve your Mental health. But, please don't do too much in one go, so take regular breaks.

It will be easier to get into an exercise routine if you can choose an exercise that you enjoy and start with small steps and gradually build it up, especially if you are starting or returning to it after a break.

While the approaching Christmas and New Year are a good chance for some rest, relaxation and feasting, it is still important to keep moving and active.

As a bit of a challenge, fun and even a Christmas competition with friends and family. Try standing up for Santa!

Every time you spot Santa Claus on the TV, you need to get up out of your chair, stretch up high, sit back down and repeat this 5 times.
You can keep a tally and see who has done the most.

You don't need to go outside, the gym or at home are just as good and it doesn't have to be too intense or vigorous.

Your body works and depends on movement.

Apart from the movement of joints and muscles, your blood flow, nerve signals from your brain to and from various parts of your body, work best with movement is not impaired.

The digestion of food, elimination of waste products, Internal organs, they all need an uninterrupted flow of movement to work properly.

Exercise in whatever way and frequency you can manage and are able to do will help to keep your body healthy and working at its best. Something is always better than nothing.

The body is meant to move.

While it may sound strange, movement can be helpful in reducing and helping with pain control. In fact all the bodies systems such as Blood, Nerve signals, Digestion, Joint and Muscles all require and benefit from movement.

If your pain is reduced it is also good for your Mental health and overall feeling of wellbeing.
