Whether itโs your first, second, third or more pregnancy, yoga is a great way to bond with your growing baby and enjoy this sometimes challenging but wonderful time. As well as preparing the body for labour and aiding in postnatal recovery, pregnancy yoga gives you some much needed time to focus on yourself and your wellbeing.
Classes involve gentle stretching and strengthening postures which can be adapted to suit your range of movement. No previous yoga experience is necessary. You will also learn invaluable breathing techniques for relaxation and to assist with fear and anxiety as well as helping through labour. Each class includes a full relaxation. Classes also cover other birth preparing topics such as positions for labour and birth, hormones during labour and exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor.
