• Slow, repetitive sounds encourage the brain to shift toward alpha and theta brainwaves, which are associated with deep relaxation and calm awareness = less stress, rest & digest mode (aka the opposite of anxiety fuelled, rushy, go go go mode!)
• Sound influences the limbic system, which is the part of the brain that governs emotions. This translates to better emotional processing, improved mood + reduced anxiety.
• Relaxation based sound interventions have been proven to reduce cortisol (aka the stress hormone which we don’t want too much of). This + inducing the rest and digest parasympathetic nervous system state + switching brainwaves to alpha and theta = incredible sleep. Post sound bath sleep…IYKYK 😍
