Yes I know, it's March but it's Spring Equinox today and the start of the zodiac and for me it's finally time to set goals and get out there. So I'm celebrating today and hasn't the day been the perfect spring day?

But let me ask you a question....how many of you set a new year's resolution in January and it's already bitten the dust? I know it's never worked for me and that's because winter is just not the time to do it. So if that's you then dust it off and try again, maybe give it a rejig and make sure it's a goal you really want and now go get it! You'll be amazed how much clearer things feel with the return of the sun and the world around us waking up.

A new moon brings opportunities for setting intentions and goals and this one is a beautiful one asking you to really dream big. What do you want for 2025 and beyond?

I'm dreaming of a thriving business getting to meet amazing people who want to make "the change" whatever that may be and to be a small part of that is an honour and a privilege.

I'm dreaming of travel and new experiences, spending time with my family and trying to get them to enjoy those experiences with me (and a few on my own too).

These photos were taken about 20 years apart, and yes I've aged (which I'm fine about, I see aging as an honour) but what you don't see is the huge battles with weight that have happened between these photos.

Thanks to hypnotherapy I've managed to lose and more importantly MAINTAIN that loss and last night I got back into a dress I last wore in my twenties.

Now for me the goal wasn't weight loss, the goal was to see food as food. I was sick of the emotional tie food had over me, eating when happy, sad or low and that's gone now. Food isn't about reward or punishment, just nourishment and energy.

I can't guarantee success for everyone but I think its important to show what it CAN achieve. If you have the desire and motivation, hypnotherapy can give you the fresh start you need.

How's 2025 going so far? A little fact about me, I don't do new year resolutions because I see the 21st March (spring equinox) as the new year. It's still winter, our bodies and minds need rest at this time of year but what we can also do is take note of nature, it's sleeping BUT under the surface a lot is happening.

So, rather than pushing for too much right now you could consider what seeds you need to plant in order to be ready to enjoy the returning of light and the sun. What could you change now that means you're ready to make the most of who you can be for 2025 and beyond:

Stopping smoking or va**ng
Reducing stress or your reactions to stressful situations
Improving your sleep
Regaining your confidence
Weight loss
Body acceptance
Motivation to move/exercise
Portion control
Stopping or reducing drinking
Overcoming a fear or phobia

Social media is now full of "goodbye to 2024" posts, remember behind those smiles and pictures are often stories we will never know and life is never that perfect all of the time. So if you are looking at these reels and posts and feeling any sense of lack, don't, getting to this point is enough! Don't look back on what you didn't achieve, celebrate making it to this point. I hope 2025 brings you peace and contentment.

Our cheeky elf has got involved as it's a Full Moon today! It's a Gemini full moon, the last full moon of this year and is inviting us to think about what we don't want to take into 2025 so we can write a new story.

It's pretty powerful and sitting with yourself and asking yourself that question can be quite scary. But ask and see what the response is.....what could you do if it was no longer holding you back? What could 2025 be if you were no longer beholden to that habit, thought or fear?

I'm leaving perfectionism in the past. It holds me back from trying and getting it wrong and the true learning sits in the space where it doesn't go how you expected and then you try again.

What are you going to leave behind in order to move forwards to next year?

Let's talk about biscuits...

I know, I know this may seem random. However these little things can be a lovely enjoyable snack with a cuppa and there is absolutely nothing wrong with having a biscuit, enjoy I say!

BUT for some these become a habit, a couple add up to a few more, we may get the urge to finish the pack and then enter a cycle of shame because we've over eaten. Does that sound familiar?

Biscuits are full of addictive ingredients making it really easy to go from being able to control the urge and just have 1 or 2 but those additives can become harder to resist. It's so common and happens to us all at some point with something whether it's biscuits, chocolate or even alcohol or smoking.

Hypnotherapy can help you get back a healthy relationship with these little morsels or you could remove the urge totally by removing the need to eat them. If you feel that the balance is out and you are no longer able to stop then some quick changes made during hypnotherapy can help bring back that balance.
