Stress has a habit of sneaking up on us and can often feel unbearably overwhelming.
Try these techniques to bring you back to the moment.
BREATHING
Close your eyes, inhale deeply for four counts, hold for four, and exhale slowly. Do this three times, and notice how your shoulders drop. That's your nervous system calming down.
MOVEMENT
Stretch your arms high, roll your neck, or walk around the room. Physical movement releases built-up tension that stress hides in your muscles.
GROUNDING
If your mind is buzzing, try a grounding exercise: name five things you see, four you can touch, three you hear, two you smell, and one you taste. Suddenly, you're back in the present moment.
Stress doesn't disappear forever , but in just a few minutes, you can give yourself the gift of calm.☺️
