Just because it feels true… doesn’t make it true.

Anxiety and OCD are really good at telling convincing stories.

“I can’t handle this.”
“This means something is wrong with me.”
“I need to fix this right now.”

And your body believes it.
Your emotions back it up.
It feels urgent and real.

But feelings aren’t facts.

There is a difference between:
👉 what your mind is saying
👉 and what is actually happening

“I’m a terrible person” → “I had an intrusive thought”
“I can’t handle this” → “I’m feeling overwhelmed right now”

That shift changes everything.

Not because it makes anxiety disappear…
but because it brings you back to reality, where you have choices.

What’s one thought that feels true for you right now, but might not actually be true?

20/03/2026

Be so rooted in yourself…
that nobody can use you.

Not because you’ve become cold.
Not because you’ve stopped caring.
But because you’ve stopped abandoning yourself to keep others comfortable.

People don’t just use “weak” people.
They use kind people who haven’t learned boundaries yet.
They use giving people who feel guilty saying no.
They use strong people who were taught their worth comes from being needed.

So the goal isn’t to become useless.
It’s to become unavailable for manipulation.

There’s a difference.

You can still be kind… without being taken for granted.
You can still love deeply… without losing yourself.
You can still help others… without becoming their solution.

The moment you know your value:
• You stop over-explaining
• You stop proving your worth
• You stop tolerating disrespect disguised as “normal”

And suddenly, the same behavior that once drained you… no longer reaches you.

Because you’ve changed access.

Not everyone deserves your time.
Not everyone deserves your energy.
Not everyone deserves the version of you that gives without limits.

Read that again.

You’re not here to be endlessly available.
You’re here to be aligned.

And when you get there…
the people who only saw your usefulness will disappear.

The ones who truly see you?
They’ll stay.

Protect your energy like it matters.

Because it does 🦋

Anxiety is already hard.

But what we add to it can make it heavier.

Judgment.
Self-criticism.
Telling yourself you shouldn’t feel this way.

Those layers don’t solve anxiety… they amplify it.

What tends to help more is something quieter:

Acceptance.
Softness.
Letting the feeling be there without attacking yourself for it.

You don’t have to pile on top of your anxiety. 💕

When intrusive thoughts get loud, it can feel urgent to figure them out, fix them, or make them go away.

But more thinking isn’t what helps.

You don’t need to analyse every thought.
You don’t need to react to it.
And you don’t need to treat it like it means something about you.

Thoughts can be loud… and still not important.

You can let them be there and gently bring your attention back to the present. 💛

🌿 Did you know your body has a built-in calming system?

Meet the vagus nerve, one of the most important nerves in your body. It connects your brain to your heart, lungs, and gut, helping regulate stress, digestion, heart rate, and emotional balance.

When the vagus nerve is activated, your body shifts into the “rest and digest” state, the opposite of fight-or-flight. This is when healing, relaxation, and recovery happen.

✨ Benefits of a healthy vagus nerve include:

• Reduced anxiety and stress
• Improved digestion
• Lower heart rate and blood pressure
• Better emotional regulation

🧠 Simple ways to stimulate your vagus nerve:

• Slow deep breathing
• Meditation or mindfulness
• Cold exposure (like splashing cold water on your face)
• Humming, singing, or chanting

Small daily practices can gently support your nervous system and help your body feel safer and more balanced.

Take a moment today to breathe slowly, hum your favourite tune, or simply pause. Your nervous system will thank you. 🌿 If you would like further help in learning how to regulate the nervous system, please contact me on the details provided in bio.

🪟 What Is the Window of Tolerance? And Why Is Everyone Talking About It?

The Window of Tolerance is a trauma psychology concept that explains how your nervous system functions when you feel safe, regulated, and emotionally balanced.

When you’re inside your window, you can:
✨ Think clearly
✨ Feel your emotions without being overwhelmed
✨ Respond instead of react
✨ Feel calm, safe, and in control

But trauma, chronic stress, PTSD, CPTSD, anxiety, or emotional neglect can shrink that window.

When you move outside your window, you may experience:

🔥 Hyper-arousal (fight/flight)
Anxiety, anger, panic, overwhelm, impulsivity, hypervigilance

❄️ Hypo-arousal (freeze/shutdown)
Numbness, dissociation, exhaustion, brain fog, withdrawal

This is why so many trauma-informed therapists, psychologists, and mental health educators talk about the Window of Tolerance — because it helps people understand:

👉 “I’m not broken. My nervous system is dysregulated.”
👉 “This is a trauma response.”
👉 “There are ways to expand my capacity.”

The goal of trauma healing is not to eliminate stress.
It’s to gently expand your window so you can stay regulated longer and return to balance faster.

You can widen your window through:
✔️ Grounding exercises
✔️ Deep breathing
✔️ Somatic healing
✔️ Trauma-informed therapy
✔️ Nervous system regulation practices
✔️ Healthy habits & safe relationships

Understanding your window changes everything.
It replaces shame with compassion.

The only person someone is guaranteed to spend their entire life with…
Is themselves.

From the first breath… to the last moment…
Through every success… every mistake… every heartbreak… every quiet victory…

They are there.

Which is why one of the most important relationships they will ever have…
Is the relationship they have with their own mind.

But here’s the problem.

Many people speak to themselves in ways they would never speak to anyone else.

They forgive others faster than they forgive themselves.
They encourage others but criticise their own reflection.
They show compassion outward… but carry harshness inward.

They become their own worst environment.

And then they wonder why they feel exhausted… anxious… disconnected… or never “enough.”

Imagine spending decades with someone who constantly says:

“You should have done better.”
“You’re behind.”
“You’re not good enough.”
“You always mess things up.”

That would be unbearable.

Yet this is the internal voice many people live with every day.

So the real question isn’t just about success, relationships, or achievements.

It’s this:

What kind of company does someone keep inside their own head?

Because when life gets hard — and it always does —
the inner voice becomes either a safe place… or a battlefield.

People who learn to respect themselves…
to forgive their past…
to encourage their growth…
to speak kindly to their own struggles…

They don’t become arrogant.

They become stable.

They become resilient.

They become peaceful in ways that circumstances cannot easily shake.

Being in good company with oneself doesn’t mean ignoring flaws.
It means recognising humanity.

It means saying:

“I’m learning.”
“I’m growing.”
“I made a mistake, but I’m still worthy.”
“I’m allowed to rest.”
“I’m allowed to start again.”

Because at the end of the day…

Careers change.
People come and go.
Situations rise and fall.

But the one constant presence… is the person in the mirror.

So it’s worth asking:

Is that voice supportive… or destructive?

Is that presence peaceful… or critical?

Because someone can search the whole world for belonging…

But the most important place to feel at home
is within their own mind.🦋🧘‍♂️💝
