JOB TITLE REQUIRED: Team Leader - Life Auxiliary – Dartmouth TQ6
PAY: £12.74 per hour
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week
I am looking for someone who is reliable, a good communicator and shows dignity and respect towards others. Someone with some experience of caring for others and leading a small team. Someone who is great at building relationships and inspiring others too and someone who considers it a privilege to be trusted to look after others. Do you have the same sort of attributes? Then I could have just the role for you.As the Team Leader for Wicks Enterprise, you will nurture and support the complexities on my mind. You will be my right-hand person; we will work together to manage and lead my team. You must be able to drive competently and hold a full, clean drivers licence which you will have held for at least one year. You must be 25 years or over in age as you will need to drive specialised transport, and so we are compliant with my insurance.
What you’ll be doing
Being a Team Leader is about acting as a role model by leading and supervising my life auxiliaries alongside me on a day-to-day basis. You will be working alongside them as well as completing regular staff appraisals. You will be managing and administering medication and carrying out risk assessments.
What you’ll need
You should be highly organized, proficient in IT, skilled at distributing tasks effectively, and possess a demonstrated capability to lead and oversee others. Additionally, a thorough understanding of my personal health budget is essential. Collaboration with me is key, as you'll play a crucial role in fostering a positive and proficient support team environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Team Leader, you will nurture and support the complexities on my mind. You will be my right-hand person; we will work together to manage and lead my team. This involves facilitating me to pursue both my immediate and long-term goals. I foresee a need for frequent travel, requiring transportation options that offer flexibility in scheduling. Over the years, I have crafted an impeccable care plan about me, integrating my guidelines, preferences, and desires regarding how tasks should be carried out. Read this attentively and strictly adhere to it, setting an example for the rest of the team on correct procedures to follow. Assist with the cleaning and upkeep of my residence, including supervising maintenance duties required indoors and outdoors. Helping me in creating a supportive and understanding environment for me, friends and family to feel comfortable, happy and content. You must be a competent driver to drive me around for appointments etc in my adapted vehicle.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Sustain interpersonal communication with every team member.
Keep the inside and outside areas of my house well looked after and presentable for others.
You will support me for my health needs, my team, my care and my families, pet’s needs.

You will be responsible for health and safety within my home for me and the team.
Taking frequent photos and videos with basic editing.
Help clean and maintain my residence, overseeing maintenance tasks that need doing both indoors and outdoors, delegating where applicable.
Maintain the front and rear gardens of the property keeping them in a neat condition. Ensure both the interior and exterior of my home are well-kept. This includes responsibilities such as lawn mowing and w**d removal.
Lead by setting an example for your colleagues within the team, also inspiring others who observe us to from afar.
Organizing external training for the team when deemed necessary by me.
Setting up for new starters and ensuring active participation and successful completion of the Grey Matter online training courses for/by all the team.
Regularly monitoring stock levels in the house and liaising with me on reordering the items.
Manage bins and recycling diligently.
Making sure that probation periods for new staff on the team are followed, documented, and recorded within the systems.
You will manage general risk assessments in line with Mark Bates Ltd Employers Liability Insurance requirements.
Identify and organise necessary training needed for the team.
Ensure the house is clean, organised, and tidy.
Managing that out-of-date food is disposed of ensuring the team are also doing this.
Any other duties as delegated by me.
JOB SPECIFICATION

Supporting with bathing, showering, shaving, oral hygiene, cleaning, dressing, PEG feeding, administration of medication, eating, performing exercises/physiotherapy/hydrotherapy.
Domestic duties supporting with grocery shopping, cooking, and serving nutritious meals and snacks when requested, cleaning and changing linen, doing laundry, ironing and gardening.
Have excellent organisational skills.

Managing my medication, restocking medication, MAR sheets, health and hospital visits.
