From Tuesday, 12th August:

âš« we will be sending out text messages with a secure link to book your appointment online.

âš« If you are unable to use the online booking link, our Reception/admin team will be ready to help by phone from Thursday 14th August, on the dedicated flu line (Option 6), which will be open daily between 2pm-4.30pm. If you do need our assistance to book your appointment please help us by only calling during the booking line hours above.

All eligible patients will receive a booking link if we have your mobile number or email address. If we don’t have these yet, now is a great time to update your details, it is the fastest way to get your invitation and helps us keep phone lines free for those who may need extra assistance. You can update these details, via email : dmp.admin@nhs.net.

Important Update: Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) Availability for weight loss only:

We are aware of recent media attention and growing interest in Mounjaro (tirzepatide), a new medication for managing type 2 diabetes and aiding weight loss.

At present, Mounjaro is not available for prescribing for weight loss in our area, as NHS Devon has not yet approved its local use. Once approved, strict national eligibility criteria will apply, meaning it will not be suitable or available for everyone.

We kindly ask that patients refrain from contacting the surgery to request appointments or prescriptions for Mounjaro at this time.

We will share updates as soon as guidance changes or local prescribing becomes available. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Introducing Our New Recall System
📣Target Health Solutions📣

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new patient recall system at our surgery — Target Health Solutions.

This new system will help us manage routine health checks, medication reviews, long-term condition monitoring (such as asthma, diabetes, or high blood pressure), and vaccination reminders more efficiently and reliably. This will replace our current month of birth recall system.

What does this mean for you?
🗓️ Timely Reminders – You’ll receive reminders when it’s time to book health checks or reviews.

📱 Flexible Communication – Notifications may come via SMS, letter, phone call, or email — depending on your preferences and contact details. Some messages may come across in multiple segments but will be numbered for the order to follow. Please wait for the full message to arrive, it will include how many segments are expected within the first message.

👩‍⚕️ Better Care Coordination – We will be able to monitor your ongoing health needs more effectively, helping you stay well and avoid unnecessary complications.

🕒 Reduced Waiting Time – Appointments will be streamlined to ensure all relevant monitoring is done within one appointment wherever possible subsequently reducing the need for multiple visits.

What do you need to do?
Please ensure your contact details are up to date with the surgery.
When you receive a recall message, follow the instructions to book your appointment using the online booking link as soon as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns, our reception team will be happy to help.

Thank you for helping us improve how we care for your health.
Your health. Our priority.
