***** WELCOME TO OUR NEW GP *****

We’re pleased to let our patients know that a new salaried GP, Dr Jenny Pooley, joined the team at DMP on the 23rd February 2026.

After completing graduate medicine at the University of Warwick, Jenny moved to Bristol where she completed Foundation training and then spent 3 years gaining further experience in hospital specialties. She moved to the South Hams to undertake GP training in 2021 and is so happy and grateful to now be working in Dartmouth. Jenny loves the day-to-day variety that general practice brings and outside of work enjoys trail running, playing in a folk band and going to the beach with her young family.

Please join us in giving Jenny a warm welcome ! We’re confident Jenny will be a great addition and support us in continuing to provide high-quality care to our patients.

Flu cases in hospitals are the highest ever for this time of year.

But there are things you can do to help, like getting vaccinated, if eligible, and taking steps to protect older and more vulnerable family members.

More than 18 million people have already had a flu vaccine this season.

Flu vaccines don’t stop everyone from catching flu, but they do reduce the risk of becoming seriously unwell, needing hospital care or developing complications – especially for older adults and those with health conditions.

If you’re eligible and haven’t had yours yet, it’s not too late to get protected.
