A wonderful opportunity for fresh air, socialising and exercise, either participating or watching the lively activity. The organisers are getting ready for the furty furlong next week. 14 MAY 2022

Hosted by the lovely friendly Kingstone Runners, this is a beautiful, hilly course in the grounds of Mapplewell Meadows Farm. The course is mostly grass with some gravel/shale. The course can get muddy after wet weather if you like to get hot and dirty. There are some (optional) small horse jumps to add a bit of fun. Great photo opportunities! Dont forget to warm up and cool down !

Did you know Pilates is a fantastic approach to whole body wellness, developing strength, endurance and positive movement patterns. Not only plenty of love, laughs and enjoyment it will also fine tune your fat burning machine. A great stress buster which will lower cortisol levels, a definite plus to those who store excess bodyfat and struggle to shift it. Sessions run every Tuesday 6-7PM at the Darby & Joan Club, Darton, S75 5HQ. All sessions are clinically led by Joanne Bolton, Pilates Instructor, Run Leader and Sports Massage Therapist. SLOUCH = OUCH Want to truly ‘take a load off’? Despite what the phrase suggests, the worst thing you can do – at least when it comes to the health of your back – is take a seat. Sitting is becoming more prevalent while at work, or school and having a sedentary lifestyle can result in sitting for around 8 hours a day. In order to truly ‘take a load off’ you need to have regular breaks from sitting, every 20-30 minutes stand up and walk around. Use a standing or sit-stand desk where possible. Engage in exercises to strengthen your core and upper back, allowing you to sustain a good sitting posture, without succumbing to lazy slouching. Even doing some exercises in your chair can help move your neck and back, or relieve tension, avoiding pain and bad sitting postures. As a human, you were designed to move from posture to posture to avoid muscle fatigue and abnormal sustained tissue loading. This means that your best posture is your next posture.

We are a small South Yorkshire based business committed to empowering our clients to feel and perform at their best.

Team members have represented England in Athletics and Great Britain at European and World standard in Duathlon ( Run Bike Run ) as well as enjoying a full club events calendar which means that we are very much in touch with fellow competitors and, so have learned to practice what we preach.
