🌍 World AIDS Day ❤️

World AIDS Day is a global movement that unites people in the fight against HIV, supports those living with the virus, and remembers those who have lost their lives to AIDS related illnesses.

As a Specialist Facial Lipoatrophy Nurse within the NHS, I have the privilege of working with patients who are living well with HIV. Thanks to incredible medical advances, people living with HIV can expect long, healthy lives, yet stigma and misunderstanding still persist.

Today, we honour the strength, resilience, and diversity of people living with HIV, and we stand together to challenge stigma and discrimination wherever it exists.

The National AIDS Trust is calling on all of us to help end new HIV cases in the UK by 2030, a goal that is now within reach. You can play your part by raising awareness, supporting local events, fundraising, or donating.
