JC Holistics – Cancellation & Sickness Policy
At JC Holistics, your health, safety, and wellbeing are always the priority. To ensure treatments remain safe, effective, and appropriate for every client, the following policy is in place:
24-Hour Cancellation Policy
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows the space to be offered to another client. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee.
Sickness & Contraindications to Treatment
If you are experiencing symptoms of illness—particularly in the initial or active stages of a cold, viral infection, or flu (such as sore throat, fever, persistent cough, body aches, or fatigue)—please do not attend your appointment and contact Janine to rearrange.
Massage treatments, especially Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), are contraindicated during active infection. MLD stimulates the lymphatic system, which may increase the circulation of pathogens within the body and place additional strain on your immune system, potentially delaying recovery.
Attending while unwell also presents a risk to the therapist. As treatments involve close contact, it is important to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all.
Important – Turning Up Unwell
JC Holistics operates a cancellation waiting list, and appointments are often in high demand. If you attend your appointment while unwell and it is not safe or appropriate to proceed, you will be respectfully turned away and the full treatment fee will be charged. This is because the appointment time cannot be reallocated at such short notice.
If You Become Unwell
If you feel unwell prior to your appointment, please get in touch as soon as possible. Where appropriate, your appointment can be rescheduled for when you are fully recovered.
