We are so happy to say the wonderful & talented .stanley has sent us a copy of her book and we can understand why it has been nominated for awards!

Children understanding basic first aid is something we feel very strongly about. We all have young children ourselves and want them to know how to deal with an emergency situation the best they can for their age!

We hope to be in schools in the near future and we will certainly be taking Finlay the first aid bear along to assist our teaching 👏🏽😊

Finally - our 4th director, Blake.

Blake is an Advanced paramedic and has worked in the Ambulance Service for over 17 years! Advanced paramedics offer a high level of clinical skills and leadership.

Blake is a very experienced senior clinician - not only with responding to 999 calls, but also in the private industry. Being another music fan; festivals, concerts and sporting events fit into his life perfectly! 🎤

Not being an avid golfer like the other directors (as much as they are trying to use the powers of persuasion), he spends his spare time with his friends, wife & 2 young children alongside going to the gym if he can fit it in his busy schedule of work, studying and family life 🏡

Next - Josh! (We won’t say Josh no.2!)

Josh has worked for North West Ambulance Service for 16 years, 12 of those as a paramedic! 🗓️

Alongside this, he has a great deal of experience in the private sector from working many arenas and sporting events. These are a perfect addition to his full time job as he is a major sports & music fan anyway! 🎵

One of the reasons why Josh enjoys being a paramedic is the level of satisfaction he gets back from it. He says “we meet and help people in such a variety of ways in their time of need & we can make such a difference to someone’s day” - which is true! A life changing difference! 👏🏽

Josh’s free time is either spent playing golf with 2 of the other directors of EMT Solutions (the 4th is a work in progress!) or making memories with his wife and energetic toddler off on adventures 🛫

Next, meet Joe!

Spending 6 years in the military sparked up the interest for Joe to join North West Ambulance Service where he has worked for nearly 9 years. Within this time he has completed his BSC in Paramedic Science from the University of Cumbria 📝

Having played the drums since the age of 12, he has been in a number of bands over the years. This includes playing alongside status quo & kaiser chiefs 🎵

From playing at large scale festivals he has seen just how important having the correct level of medical cover can be. So his drive to help people in their most vulnerable moments & his great love of music ties together perfectly 🙌🏼

Joe’s time away from work is often spent away in his camper van with his wife, little girl & golden retriever 🚐

Let us introduce you to our directors!

To start with - meet Josh! The 1st of 2 Josh’s, both of who you will have seen featured on BBC ambulance in 2023 🎥 you may remember him describing himself as a “solid 5”!

Josh has worked for North West Ambulance Service for 9 years & has a BSC in Paramedic Science from the University of Cumbria 📝

One of Josh’s many talents is making light of any situation and he has a 100% success rate in making patients laugh - what more could you ask for? 👏🏽

He is an avid sports fan, in particular golf & football. Both of which he plays & watches ⛳️

The rest of his time is spent with his young family at home, consisting of his soon to be wife, toddler & Ibizan Hound, Misty 🐾
