SLAY (Skills & Employment, Learning, Advice for Young People)

Another fantastic event empowering our future!
We were thrilled to have been part of Daventry’s inspiring SLAY event. Bringing together local businesses to showcase career opportunities, apprenticeships, and college pathways for young people in our community.
A DaisyB's and Anstee + Proctor Opticians collaboration offered an interactive workshop focused on key skills like teamwork, communication, attention to detail, craftsmanship, and, of course... fashion!
It was a hands-on, creative experience, full of fun, feathers, and sparkle. Participants got the chance to learn basics about the eyes, spectacle repairs and adjustments, and design their own unique, rimless eyewear creations, perfect for those with an eye for style and detail.

Fun Fashion – Who wouldn't say YES to feathers and a bit of sparkle? The final highlight was seeing the proud smiles as everyone showed off their stylish, one-of-a-kind eyewear designs and accessory combinations by DaisyB's. The feel-good factor was definitely high!

What an incredible turnout we had for our 90th anniversary celebration last Saturday!
It was such a joy to see everyone enjoying themselves. The drinks were flowing, and guests had a fantastic time exploring the vibrant and fun eyewear collections from our amazing suppliers.
The children were especially delightful—fully embracing the garden activities and photoshooting zone while enjoying some tasty treats!
A huge thank you to all of our wonderful patients who helped make the day so special, and of course, to our incredible team for making it all happen.
