Flu can be very unpleasant for children and can sometimes cause serious problems, such as pneumonia.

It’s quick, safe and helps stop flu spreading – protecting your child, your family and the community.

🧒 Protect Your Child from Flu 🌸

Why it matters:

- Flu can make children very unwell.
- Children under 5 have some of the highest rates of hospital admissions due to flu.
- Vaccinating your child also protects vulnerable friends and family by reducing spread.

The vaccine:

- Most children are offered a quick and painless nasal spray.
- No needles – just a gentle spray up the nose!

Who should get it?

- Aged 2–3 years on 31 August 2025
(born between 01.09.21 and 31.08.23) → Contact the surgery to book.
- Under 18s in a clinical risk group → Contact the surgery to book.

All other school-aged children → Will be offered their flu vaccine at school.
