I’ve been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and palindromic rheumatism.

They’re invisible.
That doesn’t mean I don’t feel them.

Some days are better.
Some days are bad.
Some weeks are okay.
Some weeks are brutal.

And last year?
I had months that were just hard.

For around 4–5 months, I was constantly ill — most likely due to side effects of medication. Being unwell all the time meant I couldn’t move my body the way I had worked so hard to in 2024/2025. No training. No consistency. No recovery.

I put weight back on.
The muscle I’d built feels like it disappeared overnight.

You don’t realise how much you take your health for granted until it’s taken away — or until you spend months just trying to get through each day.

And no — I don’t have three arms.
But if I did, it would probably just be another place for pain to live.

I’m not someone who accepts a diagnosis and lets it decide my life. I’ve changed my lifestyle. I research. I try things. I adapt. I refuse to believe this is as good as it gets.

Chronic illness sucks.
But I want more out of life than just surviving.

I’m learning to rest without guilt.
To stop pushing when my body says no.
To listen and not quit (even when I really want to!)

This is what invisible illness can look like.
And I’m still standing.

I’m not a fighter, I just have no other option.

The guilt I felt when my little boy said “mummy is always poorly”.
I want my kids to do everything so that includes a mum that can too! ❤️💙
