I've checked the surf forecast and the Dawlish Beach cams and all looks good and calm with the first light of sunrise starting to appear on the horizon. Early morning swims should also be ok the next few days too!

This will be my first November swim and, because air temperatures have dropped recently, the sea is now just under 15C and will continue to fall the next few months. Air temperatures are likely to remain consistently below sea temperatures too. I'm almost looking forward to meeting this 'challenge'!

I'm better equipped than this time last year as I wear prescription googles and footwear now. You never really know what conditions will be like until you are actually walking into the water - part of the attraction, and the fun!!
