✨ Barre Foundations is open for booking! ✨

This 5-week course is designed to help you build strength, improve posture and move with confidence — even if you’re new to barre, returning to exercise, or working around injuries.

You’ll get a full breakdown of what’s included in the slides 👆🏼 and I’ll be sharing more over the next few weeks, including what each week looks like and how barre can help you feel stronger, more mobile, and more like you again.

📲 Bookings now open — link in bio / below to reserve your spot.

📝 Please note:
As this is a brand new offering, the course will need a minimum number of participants to go ahead (at least 50% of spaces filled). If we don’t reach that number, I’ll refund everyone in full — no questions asked.

You’ve probably heard of “muscle knots”—those tight, tender spots that seem to just constantly be there on no matter how much you stretch or poke at them. My clients often ask me “so what is a muscle knot and what do you actually do to get rid of it?”.

So here’s the truth:
We’re not actually smashing knots into submission during massage.

What we are doing is working with your nervous system.

By applying pressure and movement, we stimulate mechanoreceptors in the skin and muscle—basically little sensors that send feedback to the brain. This can help reset faulty muscle tone, reduce protective tension, and restore more natural movement.

The result?
Your body feels looser, your nervous system feels calmer, and that annoying “knot” doesn’t feel like it’s running the show anymore.

Massage isn’t about force. It’s about communication—with your body and brain.

📜 I did it — I’m now a certified BarreConcept instructor! 💪🩰

This one means a lot. It’s something I’ve worked incredibly hard for, pushed myself way out of my comfort zone to achieve, and (if I’m honest) doubted myself more than once along the way. But I’ve also loved every minute of it — learning how to combine strength, mobility and posture work in a way that feels elegant, challenging, and deeply rewarding.

Barre has quickly become a passion, and I’m so excited to start teaching and sharing it with others.

🗓 I’ll be starting classes this autumn — I’m currently in the process of planning and securing the right venue, and also taking a little time out before diving into the next chapter. I’ll share more details as soon as things are set in stone — so keep an eye out for updates!

I used to think balance meant doing everything — training hard, being productive, always pushing forward. But over time (and after burning out more than once), I’ve realised that kind of pace isn’t sustainable.

Most recently, injuring my hamstring forced me to slow down — and reminded me that balance isn’t about doing more, it’s about knowing when to pause.

Real balance is dynamic. It changes depending on your energy, your stress levels, your goals. It’s not a fixed routine — it’s a constant check-in with yourself.

Some days that might mean:
💥 Getting a proper workout in
😴 Letting yourself rest without guilt
💻 Working hard — then stepping away
💆‍♀️ Booking a massage because your body is carrying more than you realise

Massage has become such an important part of this for me — and for many of my clients. It’s not just a treat. It helps manage stress, reduce tightness, prevent injury, and gives you that reset when everything else feels too much.

What does balance mean to you right now?
Is it something you’re creating, craving, or struggling to find?

When you’re in pain, exercise might feel like the last thing you want to do.
But gentle, regular movement can actually reduce pain — not just in the moment, but over time.

This is thanks to the way exercise interacts with your nervous system:
• It boosts circulation
• Releases endorphins (your body’s natural painkillers)
• Helps your brain process pain signals more effectively

You don’t need to push through pain or go all-out — a short walk, light strength work, or mobility session can be enough to start shifting things.

Movement is medicine.
Start with what feels doable and build from there.

Need support knowing where to begin? Send me a message — I’d love to help you get moving in a way that feels right for your body.
