We’re hosting a ‘Time to Talk’ Coffee Morning in support of Mind, the mental health charity.

🎸 Celebrating the King of Rock and Roll at Claremont! 🎤

This afternoon we welcomed our very own ‘King of Rock and Roll’ to Claremont to celebrate what would have been Elvis Presley’s birthday!

Residents from the ground floor gathered in the drawing room - glow sticks in hand - ready for an afternoon of music and memories. We enjoyed a lively medley of Elvis’ greatest hits, and the room quickly filled with smiles, laughter, dancing, and even a few emotional moments as residents reminisced.

It was a truly heartwarming celebration, and everyone had a fantastic time!

Christmas Day at Claremont Manor was filled with festive joy!
Residents enjoyed a heart‑warming morning exchanging presents, with gifts shared throughout the home. We welcomed many visitors, creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere.

Throughout the day, residents gathered in the lounges, raising a glass with a Christmas tipple and indulging in mince pies. Our chefs prepared a delicious three‑course Christmas lunch, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

In the afternoon, the celebrations continued as families and friends joined residents to watch the King’s Speech and spend quality time together. It was a day full of warmth, companionship, and festive spirit.

Residents gathered to enjoy decorating traditional Christmas cakes. The group was joined by relatives and friends, with everyone getting involved in various festive tasks. Together, they rolled out marzipan and icing, cut out Christmas shapes, and creatively organised sugar ornaments.

In the heart of midweek merriment, our residents experienced a truly special moment that brightened their spirits and warmed their hearts. Following an exuberant sing-along session led by the talented Vikki on Wednesday, anticipation grew for an extraordinary guest. That guest, none other than Father Christmas himself, made a delightful surprise appearance, bringing with him the magic and goodwill synonymous with the festive season.

The afternoon was marked by joyful voices and communal singing, setting the perfect stage for a visit that felt both nostalgic and profoundly comforting. Father Christmas arrived not simply as a figure of tradition but as a genuine beacon of cheer, offering every resident a small yet meaningful token: chocolate coins.
Beyond the gifts, the most treasured moments came through genuine interaction - residents receiving festive hugs from the big man in red.
