Hi everyone! 🌿

Hasn’t this weather been lovely? With the bank holiday approaching, it’s the perfect time to stock up and get some gardening done over the long weekend.

Just a reminder that we’ll be closed on Bank Holiday Monday, so be sure to pop in beforehand!

We’ve got a wonderful selection of grasses and perennials, plus some great vegetable plugs ready to go 🌱

Dawlish Gardens Trust was delighted to receive a cheque for £2,750 from Teignmouth Tangent, following a highly successful year of fundraising.

Outgoing Chair, Natalie Brophy, selected the Trust as her chosen charity, and throughout the year members organised a range of events under the leadership of fundraising coordinator Gerry Willocks, including a fashion show and a Christmas fair.

Natalie and Gerry formally presented the cheque to Fiona Gibson, General Manager, alongside current Attendee Ambassadors Rob, Luke, James and Mark.

This money will be used to help fund more courses for our clients and improving accessibility across our site.

Hi everyone! 🌦️

We’re all hoping the weather makes its mind up soon—at the moment it just can’t decide! One minute it’s hail, the next it’s sunshine, then straight back to rain.

Despite the unpredictable weather, we’re here as usual and still selling our plants 🌱

Our lovely lavender plants flew out very quickly, but we now have a fresh selection of beautiful perennials to fill the gap, we also have a selection of tomato plants available. Come and take a look!

Hi everyone 🌿

With the long weekend just around the corner, it feels like the perfect chance to spend a bit of time in the garden and enjoy some fresh air ☀️

We’ve still got plenty of plants in the shop if you’re thinking of adding a bit of colour or getting your veg patch going. Our handmade wooden planters are also available and make a lovely addition to any garden space.

For anyone looking to grow their own, we’ve got a selection of plug veg plants ready, including:
• Greyhound cabbage
• Purple sprouting broccoli
• Cauliflower (Barcelona)
• Broccoli (Romanesco)
• Coriander
• Lettuce Lollo Rossa

They’re really easy to plant out with very little root disturbance, so ideal whether you’re just starting out or have been gardening for years 🌱

We’ve also got:
• Broad beans in 9cm pots
• Red Drumhead cabbage and Monterey spinach in trays (not yet pricked out)

Feel free to pop in, have a browse, and a chat. Always nice to see familiar faces and meet new ones too 😊🌼

🌿 Hi everyone,

We just want to say a huge thank you for all the support during our opening week this year, it really means so much to us 💚
We thought it would be a good moment to share a bit more about why choosing to buy your plants and woodwork from us makes a positive impact:

🌱 We’re a non-profit organisation, which means every purchase you make goes straight back into DGT. It helps us grow, improve what we do, and continue supporting our amazing team.

🌿 Most of our plants are grown right here on site from the very beginning. By propagating them ourselves, we reduce transport and lower our overall carbon footprint.

🌍 We only use peat-free compost, which is much better for the environment. It helps protect natural peatlands, which are important for wildlife and act as vital carbon stores.

🪵 Our woodwork projects are mainly made using repurposed materials, giving new life to wood that might otherwise go to landfill.

We’re passionate about doing things in an environmentally responsible way, and we’d love for you to be part of that journey with us 🌎💚

Hi everyone,

We know most of our recent updates have been focused on the shop, so we wanted to take a moment to share what’s been happening around the rest of the site. With the beautiful weather we’ve enjoyed over the past week, there’s been plenty of progress going on 🌞

Our hardworking team has been busy creating a brand new enclosure for our two wonderful tortoises, Shelly and Princess 🐢 This new setup will allow them to move freely between the outdoors and our new barn whenever they please.

As always, the support we receive from you all means so much to us, and we are incredibly grateful. Thank you for being part of our journey 💚

Hi everyone! 🌿

We’re so excited to invite you to the opening of our shop on Monday 23rd March! We are open from 10:00 -15:00 Monday to Friday.

We’ll have a lovely selection of grasses and perennials available, along with some beautiful handmade woodwork items. Throughout the year, we’ll also be offering a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables grown right here on our site.

As we continue to add more plants and unique items, we’ll be sharing updates here, so keep an eye out!

We can’t wait to welcome you and share everything we’ve been growing and creating. See you soon!

🎄 Hi everyone! 🎄

We are getting very close to Christmas and hope you are all feeling excited! We would like to say a huge thank you for a wonderful year. All of the support we receive is truly appreciated, and we are so grateful from the bottom of our hearts.

We had a fantastic time at our Christmas dinner on Friday — it was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves. A big thank you to Rhythm sticks for joining us and putting on a brilliant performance that everyone thoroughly enjoyed 🎶👏

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and we can’t wait to see you all back on January 5th. 🎉✨
