Hi I'm a leaflet.
I may well be floating through your letter box soon. At first glance you might think I'm junk mail. I promise I won't be too offended...lol.. but can I just ask you to consider a few things. So far us leaflets have achieved some amazing things. We've helped people take that often really hard step into a friendly local group. That might not seen much but when that small step leads to life changing events then Wow.. like what? You might ask.. here's a few examples...
Becoming medication free after managing health conditions like diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure.
Being able to move more after reducing joint pain and using fewer pain killers
Improved sense of well being and self esteem being supported by people who understand.
Fertility improving and babies being born.. (my particular favourite 😚)
Learning about healthy cooking and shopping and improving family eating.
Meeting new friends and making lifelong friendships.
There are so many success stories in every group, it really is so much more than "just losing weight".
So if I land on your door mat, just for a second think.. you really can take that step if you feel ready... I might not be what you need right now but maybe a friend or relative might..
I hope you can see that rather than just junk mail I'm an invitation to take that step to a healthier future... 😉

“One day”….or “Day one” 🥰

✨August 2022: “I really want to lose weight, but there’s no point in starting now - I’m going on holiday in 2 weeks, I’ll wait until the schools go back”

✨September 2022: “I still want to lose weight, but It’ll soon be winter with its dark nights, I want to make the most of the last bit of sunshine, no point going yet, I’ve far too many afternoons out with friends & family this month”

✨October 2022: “Right this month I’m going to start … oh, but Halloween is coming up so I know there will be loads of sweets hanging around. I’ll get that out of the way first”

✨November 2022: “Maybe it’s time to join, but I’ve got two nights out this month so I’ll wait until next month, I’ll definitely join then”

✨December 2022: “There’s absolutely no point joining in December - I’ve got far too many nights out, and with Christmas…definitely no point joining this month”

✨January 2023: “Slimming World will be mobbed just now with it being a brand new year. I’ll just wait until next month”

✨February 2023: “I wish I’d joined 6 months ago! If I’d lost 1.5lb per week I would’ve been over two and a half stone lighter by now”

Thinking about joining the Alfreton Slimming World group and wondering what to expect? Here’s some info I hope will be helpful: we’re at Trinity Church wesley Hall on Fridayss at 9:30am & 11:30am. 🕐 There will always be Slimming World signage outside and parking can be found at the venu and near by car parks. I’ll be waiting with a warm welcome and a hot drink 🤗❤.
