Your words again.

I sometimes wonder how long people are prepared to wait before they seek support? My advice is not to leave it too long. There are things you need to talk through, ask for advice, gain wisdom, and find that all important way through, before things get too tangled to handle.

With Whole Life Therapy, we discover direction. We bring in NLP (- that’s about finding the right words – because sometimes, it’s difficult, and then, too often, we end up far away from intention). NLP will also help in managing work, people and situations in the best possible way.

WONDER HOW THINGS EVER GOT THIS CRAZY?

I sometimes wonder how long people are prepared to wait before they seek support? My advice is not to leave it too long. There are things you need to talk through, ask for advice, gain wisdom, and find that all important way through, before things get too tangled to handle.

REMEMBER TO NURTURE

The demands of our fast-paced life can outstrip the body’s natural ability to cope. Stresses limit nutrient absorption and lead to deficiency in vital vitamins and minerals. This, together with related adrenal exhaustion leads to over-eating, weight gain, unhappiness, lethargy, anxiety and eventually - disease.

Allow time to relish your nourishment
- give yourself time to eat, without over-eating. Pace yourself, because you’re beginning to realise how important you are, and how important good food is to you, the right food. Look at how different foods affect you. The wrong food can quickly drain energy, and with it go confidence and self-esteem. So, by experimenting, and choosing good food, you will soon become aware of how much better your nourishment makes you feel. Eat organic when you can & cut out highly processed food. A simple rule is to eliminate white flour and white sugar. Do this and you’ll soon be boosting energy levels. Give it a try for a few days and ask yourself ‘How am I now’?

Because overload is a thing right now. And the more we take on, the more we find ourselves in the clutches of a system designed to treat us as an automaton – a pre-determined mechanical device.

Now, I have to admit that sometimes, this is what the job demands, and we play the part we’re trained for – we’re good at it - aeronautics, engineering, law, farming, tradesmen, healthcare (all sorts!), hospitality – as well as all those unsung hard-working self-employed Entrepreneurs out there. These vocations are precise, necessary, and demanding because there are deadlines. It’s what’s needed – everyone is committed to a good outcome.

Certainly, enjoy the buzz, relish it. But it’s not in the public interest to go beyond your own limits. So I want you to recognise your limits. Remember to take a step back sometimes. Allow time, for yourself, and time to listen to family and friends.
Remind yourself to take that time, for You – before it gets too much. You are the only person who can assess this. Ask questions. Stay aware. Listen to how pressure is affecting you and step back sometimes.

It matters.

where next?....

THERAPY IS DISCOVERY…

All philosophy, science, all medicine, and all mechanics! - began with experimentation and discovery.

So, in our modern World, it seems that everything goes in fashions – the latest motor, medicine, chemical cure, herbal renaissance, nutritional discovery. Forgive me if this sounds glib, but as a mere mortal, I simplify.
I like simplification.

Psychotherapy has also been on a journey of discovery, and there are a lot of different theories and approaches.

This is useful, because All Clients are different, and it’s reasonable that, because of the teachings of others in the past, and fresh new ideas, Therapy can now be simplified and tailored to each Client’s needs. We are all unique, and that’s why it’s so important to find a Therapist you can resonate with.

Through talking a Therapist finds your future. A Therapist discovers, with you, how you want to live your life, and what’s getting in the way of that. We need your questions, because then we learn where the gaps are, the limitations, the things that hold you back. And we share the wisdom we have, to come up with the answers, so that you can benefit from our conversations, and move on with your life, easily, with confidence, and (importantly) learn to trust in yourself.

THERAPY IS DISCOVERY…

All philosophy, science, all medicine, and all mechanics! - began with experimentation and discovery.

DREAM ON…

Our dreams speak in metaphors. It’s strange. You know where you are, but it doesn’t look like the same place. Weird. Nevertheless, you know, that you know - where you are. Yes. Weird.

But it’s OK. Lots of dreams are great therapy, so we don’t remember them at all. Often, we’re simply looking for a way out. A direction. Heck! Our brains are Amazing, we try to resolve stuff whilst asleep and often, we do! (In fact you can actually rationalise whilst you’re dreaming – try it! Tell yourself, ‘it’s only a dream’.) You’re sorted.

But sometimes, as we remember them, those dreams pose more of a question. They’re our unresolved issues (Yep. It’s not just You – it’s all of us) It’s a natural phenomenon. In real terms, those dreams are asking us – ‘What if?’

In sleep, we question where we are right now. Dreams are bringing stuff to your attention.

DREAM ON…

Our dreams speak in metaphors. It’s strange. You know where you are, but it doesn’t look like the same place. Weird. Nevertheless, you know, that you know - where you are. Yes. Weird.

But it’s OK. Lots of dreams are great therapy, so we don’t remember them at all. Often, we’re simply looking for a way out. A direction. Heck!
