HOW STRESS IS AFFECTING YOUR BODY

Dealing with stress right now?

If you allow stress (and it’s best mates, acute anxiety and confusion) to continue, stress will inhibit your entire body. You’ll experience things like back pain for no reason, stiff neck, frozen shoulder, or maybe sore feet. You might even have bad circulation because of the tension you’re holding, so breathing is shallow (Ha! Cue panic attack).

With stress, energy levels drop. Physicality is diminished and your posture will immediately give away how much stress you’re experiencing, and now that I’ve mentioned it, you’re probably aware of some of those changes. You’ll even feel shorter, because the body is unable to maintain the normal confident posture you should be presenting. Muscle tone has softened – there’s nothing to hold you up. Do you also feel podgy?

Stress is insidious. It’s your enemy right now.

DON’T LOSE IT!...

Do not give in to your weaker self.

To give in means you will feel like a victim. Diminished, bewildered and not knowing which way to turn. You will have lost control.

To benefit from the situation you’re in right now, firstly, choose to stay strong. Yes choose, - you might not have realised, but you always have choices.

Next, forget about what you don’t have and bring to mind what you DO have, and you will realise you’ve more than you ever knew. Call upon all the experience, all the characters and inspiration you’ve encountered through the years. There will have been hardships (you will have learned from those), but also sometimes there was warmth and support. There was advice (maybe at the time it felt like judgment, but let me reassure you, it was kindly meant). You have a wealth of experience and you’re not even looking at it right now, because you’re focal point is off-centre.

In the eye of the storm you will find extraordinary strengths and you will re-align and re-calibrate.

So now you know you have choices, choose strength,

You've Got This!.....
