New digital systems at Deddington Health Centre

As part of our commitment to improving patient care and easier access to our services we are introducing two new digital systems.

Medlink – Chronic Disease Management reviews
From May 2026, we will be using a system called Medlink to support Chronic Disease Management reviews. This system is already used by many GP practices across the UK.
If you are invited for an annual review, you will receive a message with a link to a personalised health questionnaire. This will ask you about your health and can be completed at a time that is convenient for you. Your responses will help the clinical team prepare for your review and ensure it is focused on your needs.

More information can be found on our website https://deddingtonhealthcentre.co.uk/news/medlink/

Deddington Health Centre
“Jackie” – digital receptionist

From 13th May 2026 we are also introducing Jackie, a digital receptionist, to support our Patient Services team and help reduce waiting times on the phone.
If you are unable to use our online services, Jackie will help you submit a request by asking you a series of questions, similar to those asked by our reception team. This will ensure your request is directed to the right person.

NHS APP update

A new design is being sent out slowly, so you might not get it straight away.
You should:-
- Update the NHS App in your app store if required.
- Try closing and reopening the app

If you don’t see it yet:-
- Wait a bit longer (it can take a few weeks)

You don’t need to do anything else — it will update automatically

The surgery and Dispensary will be closed from 1.00 pm on Wednesday 4th March for essential staff training. This includes our online services.
During this time if you need urgent medical advice, please contact NHS 111 online or by phone. Or Call 999 if you have a life-threatening emergency.

11/12/2025

If you require a same-day appointment, you no longer need to call the practice. Please submit a request ONLINE via the "Advice & Appointments Hub" (formally "Patient Triage") on our website or via your NHS App. We advise you complete this as early as possible. Please ensure you can be contacted easily and are available to come to the surgery the same day if an appointment is offered. Same-day appointments are booked in time order so there is very little flexibility on timing.
