Say hello to Livvy — our favourite associate chiropractor who joined the Active Family team in January 2025!
Livvy uses McTimoney Chiropractic techniques, which are gentle and precise.
She has a special love for helping athletes: she’s competed in showjumping at international level and knows firsthand how chiropractic care can support performance and recovery.
Outside the clinic, Livvy is very involved in the equestrian world, volunteers in British Eventing, and she also enjoys board games at her local game shop.
Also joining Livvy in clinic is her assistance dog Atlas, a small black Labrador. She’ll be in clinic with her — feel free to ask any questions!
👉 Fun fact: Livvy is halfway through an MSc in Animal Chiropractic, so will soon be able to help the 4-legged members of the family as well!

Our Story

Since February 2017 I’ve had the genuine pleasure of welcoming many patients to my treatment room at the Ashcroft Therapy centre and have thoroughly enjoyed establishing myself in the heart of Deddington’s community in Hudson Street.

Active Family Chiropractic has been on wonderful journey since its conception after the arrival of our daughter in 2015. What started out as locuming for other Chiropractic clinics around the southern half of the country turned into a passion to want to do more. So I stepped up and started doing home visits, but enjoyed providing Chiropractic care to the local community so much, I wanted to expand and set up my own clinic.

So it happened!...And since opening, I have had the best time providing spinal health advice, treatment and help to all ages from babies of 3 days old and struggling to feed and sleep to patients 92 years young, wanting to walk taller and straighter.

Chiropractic care to (and AFC ) isn’t just about being pain free when you hurt your back or neck, or cant walk. Its about moving well and being well. If your spine moves well, you are well because all that vital information can get from your brain or body to where its supposed to be, helping you to make the best informed decisions about what your body needs - more heat, move left, faster heart beats, more adrenaline etc. If it doesnt move well, muscle spasms, ligament sprains, disc injuries can occur, causing swelling around the joints and nerves, which will affect the messages travelling through the, just as pressure on a hosepipe would affect the flow of water travelling through it.
