The "pecking needle technique" πŸ” in dry needling involves quickly inserting and removing a needle into a trigger point to stimulate blood flow and break up muscle knots, resulting in a twitch response for quick relief.

Client came in 3 weeks post injury flaring up. The injury was showing front deltoid - top bicep tendon πŸ’ͺ

So, we make sure to attack

πŸ’₯ biceps/triceps to relax the lower attachment.
πŸ’₯ Pectorals to lengthen the anterior chain in case of rounded shoulder.
πŸ’₯ Scapula & up to the neck to allow relaxed muscles to pull back the shoulder to rest in its natural position.

With some aftercare to take home as well. Client went back to the gym the next morning and felt much better πŸ’ͺβœ…

Then you need to check your posture and see where your alignment is off. I'll be discussing this in more depth in another post, so keep πŸ‘€ out.

This client, as you can see, had an uneven alignment in every joint. Just within one session for 1HR we managed to get some corrections. This will help for a few weeks, but it's down to the client to take home aftercare to keep the improvements.

The knee can be a very complex joint. There are multiple connective tissues that support the knee.

If you're someone who does heavy leg weight workouts 2-3 times a day. Make sure you're throwing in stability sessions to allow the smaller tissues to get stronger as well.
