Did you know? Sickle cell is a painful genetic blood disorder that mostly affects people of Black heritage. Patients often need lifesaving blood transfusions to survive.
One sickle cell patient can need 100 blood donors every year. For the safest treatment, patients need blood that’s very closely matched - often from a donor of the same ethnicity.
Give blood. Give hope.
