I've been out spreading the love for our amazing group today across the Acre Street area of Denton. If you're one of the houses to have received one of the 60 magazines that I have randomly put through your door please don't throw it away if now is not your time to join us.

Instead pass it to a neighbour, friend, family member or see if your hairdresser/beauty salon would like it for their waiting area.

We welcome new and rejoining members every week and we want to share our support to anyone on a weight loss journey, even if youve had weightloss surgery or are using weight loss medication we can give you the very best support and compassion.

Happy Friday everyone, I'm off to soak my poor aching feet ready for another round of leafletting tomorrow ♥️

So my plans to hand deliver leaflets across Denton today has been scuppered by my trusty steed deciding it wants a well earned rest, resulting in an AA call out! In true 'prove Sam wrong' style the engine started when the AA tech put my key in the ignition. I was given strict instructions to take the car to the place where it will be repaired, (they will not attend a second call out for the same fault) I returned home. And to prove the AA right it now won't start again so I'm house bound, there is no physical way I can cart 1000+ leaflets on the bus.

Instead I'm asking the power of Facebook to help me in my quest to reach out to the good folk of Denton (M34) to let them know we always welcome new and rejoining members to our amazing group... please share this post and virtual leaflet on your page.

We offer caring support and sympathetic to anyone struggling to lose weight, including those who have had weightloss surgery or using weightloss medication.

Did you know we also work with the Royal College of Midwives to support pregnant and breastfeeding women?

We also work alongside Diabetes UK to help reverse pre-diabetic symptoms and Type 2 diabetes and help to reduce medication dosage of members with Type 1 diabetes.

No judgement, humiliation or shame in our group, only a warm welcome home to finding the new you, boosting your confidence and self-esteem.

If you believe it, you can achieve it... we believe you can achieve your dream weight and maintain it for life.

Our gorgeous family of slimmers have a new home from Tuesday 15th July.

To celebrate our move I am running a 1 week only offer... save £5 (membership joining fee) when you join our group this week.

I'm excited to reveal that we are moving venues.

From Tuesday 15th July our group will be help at New Chapel Unitarian, Clare Street, Denton, M34 3LQ

Days and times will be the same:

I can't express how excited I am at this new venue and cannot wait to welcome new and rejoining members to our new home.

A new venue plus a support package makeover in the space of 2 weeks, they say it comes in 3s so what other exciting news could be ahead? ... your weight loss success, that's what!

I get so excited when my members see the losses they want and love celebrating their achievements.

Our support package has had a makeover making our commitment to weight loss even stronger.

😟 Are you unsure of what to expect? We invite you to have a seat in group before asking you to make any commitment, if you’ve never been to a Slimming World group before we want you to know what to expect and have the confidence that our group is the place to succeed.

💉 Did you know we offer support to anyone using weight loss injections or have had weight loss surgery? We recognise the need for behaviour change for any weight loss to be sustainable and maintained. We offer confidential support with no judgement, some people need a little extra help to make their journey a success but with our wraparound support our members may find they can stop the injections sooner than 2 years and still carry on losing weight thanks to the new healthy habits they start by joining Slimming World.

😳 Have you been a member before? At Slimming World we have lots of rejoining members who for one reason or another stepped away from group support, may be tried to continue with the plan and 'go it alone'. Rest assured that we welcome past members to a fresh start without any judgement. I get it and have been there myself, after stepping away from my first journey in 2015 I rejoined as a member in 2023, lost 3.5 stone and took on the role as a consultant in 2024.

I believe in you and anything is achievable when you believe in yourself.

I honestly believe there’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to losing weight. We’re all unique, with different starting points, different challenges, and yep… sometimes, different tools to help us along the way.
