Christmas Mixes for the room.
Hi everyone, you might find it interesting to know that when you're choosing the essential oils to make up your Christmas mix this year, it could be about much more than Christmas.
I've decided on the usual, Cinnamon, lovely aroma but also very antiseptic, uplifting, and, with a little Clove oil added, will kill all those pesky colds and flu virus the visitors can bring, blend them with Sweet Orange or Mandarin for balance (helpful oils indicated for anxiety and hysteria (huh, need all the help we can get). You could add a little Myrtle (in ancient times said to dissolve disharmony) hmm.
In a 10 ml bottle using pure essential oils add
4 mls cinnamon
3 mls orange or mandarin
1 ml clove or ginger
adjust the preferred aroma (add more orange etc., ) with the rest
Enjoy. E ❤️ as ever check for contras and safety if burning. Do NOT use on skin.

The winter months are on us, all too quickly in my mind 🫤, but a dreaded time for SAD suffers (seasonal affective disorder) that can be so debilitating in extreme cases, however for those milder cases (looks a bit like fed upness +) you can make your own sunshine jar with the help of aromatherapy. The most useful essential oils are any of the citrus range, lime, lemon, orange and manderin, plus rosemary, myrtle, eucalyptus and peppermint. (If cost isn't a problem just Jasmine). Choose your favourite 3 add a total of 15 drops to a 60 ml jar of himalayan salt, stir and seal with lid. Keep it at the side of the bed and each morning inhale from the jar 2 or 3 times to start your day. Use occasionally through the day but not at bedtime. Use with care.
A contra to this would be asthma. Message me for any further info or if you want one making up.

I usually just post recipe blends for fellow aromatherapy enthusiasts but thought I'd share a sample of what I can do (using my 30 odd years of experience 😏 eh hem) aroma therapy on a very personal level. Blended essential oils to suit the individual for their personal needs. e.g. using natural organic base products without parabens, sodium laureate sulphates or chemical additives
and fragrance free with the adition of essential oils for the therapy and aroma part they play. All done on a one-to-one level for a unique blend. ❤️ E.
Please share if you can

Sometimes you have to step aside from all that's going on, slow down the rush and bustle and take a little time out to just 'be'. I have a lovely essential oil recipe that will help you do just that. Chamomile (preferably marocan 1 drop), Bergamot (3 drops) for calming the physical and emotional and Vetitver (1 drop) for inner peace, tranquility and grounding. That's a total of 5 drops, add 10 mls of carrier oil to the drops massage a little into your pulse points, inhale from the wrists deeply. Follow your best relaxation routine and just 'be'.
Enjoy, always check for alergies before applying to the skin. Message me for more info. E xx

There's certainly a smell of peppermint all over my house right now, you'll be thinking ants I'm sure, but no, it's a cheeky mouse and I'm determined he (or they ) won't be staying. I find peppermint one of my go to oils for many things, (even prickly heat if used correctly) but where the creepies and crawlies are concerned it's Invaluable. Take some with you on holiday to put a drop on each corner of the beach towel to keep the ants away. Plus much, much more. Needs to be used with caution, Peppermint can sting or burn if it gets near the eyes.

Happy New year aromatherapy enthusiasts, if you're the type that makes new year's resolutions (one of mine is to post on here a bit more often)
I have a lovely recipe for you.
Create a space where you can relax with your oil blend (a burner or dish) add 1 drop of vetiver (calming and grounding) 1 drop of Frankincence (to help you see past 'now') 2 drops Ylang Ylang (increase confidence) and Lemon balm (melissa) to strengthen resolution
As you inhale this beautiful vapour think of the main change you plan and let the thought and the aroma be one.
Enjoy, message me if you need more info. E X

Taken a while to get round to it but as promised here's the Aromatherapy recipe that I find the most useful in general for sore muscles and joints.
Add 5 drops Eucalyptus, 5 drops Ginger, 7 drops Lavender and 3 drops Black pepper to a 50 ml bottle of arnica and grapeseed. If your aches and pains respond more to heat, warm the oil blend before massaging, spend 5 minutes massaging into the muscle area if possible.
This dilution is for the body and too strong for the face but still do a patch test inside the elbow first. For any queries and info on contras or dilutions just message me. E.

Another recipe here, A little self help for those feeling rough and wornout when suffering with arthritic joints and sore muscles. Make yourself a Turmeric milk or tea and it helps to
rub a little anti inflammatory oil on the knees or whatever bits are troubling you and you'll soon be all bright eyed and bushy tailed again
.....hopefully. 😀 so,
Add a tsp turmeric, half tsp honey, sprinkle of ginger and black pepper to a cup or mug add boiling water or hot milk, stir, let it settle then sit and sip while the aromatherapy massage oil does its job.

All are anti inflammatory oils and spices so it is necessary to check you don't have any alergies/health issues to be aware of. I'll post the massage oil recipe later.

We know theres no substitute for a lovely massage but when you can't get one and you're still in need of a little tlc try some self help with a massage blend of your favourite essential oils or make a specific one for how you 'want' to feel, best results are to rub a little into all of your pulse points not just the wrists, starting at the ankles, then behind the knees, the groin, the abdomen, inside the elbows, the breast bone, the neck (thyroid) and at the base behind the ears. Although not a pulse point another place to include is the sole of the feet (under the ball of the foot in the center). Message me if you need more info.
