💚 I don't always feel like I want to come out but because I knew I was actually meeting people, it made me do it.
🧡 If I know that I've booked a session then I know that I'm gonna make the commitment and for me that helps with my motivation
💚 today I'm so glad I made that commitment because I feel great
🧡 I've made some friends while I've been attending the gym and we've already started looking at how we can meet up on a regular basis to provide motivation for each other

I've heard loads of people talk about this over my life

It could be a really lovely experience cooking it can be a real pain having to think about menus every week, especially if you've got a family to consider

💪Just a bit of strength training again today really enjoyed it
🧡The wind is howling here in Derbyshire and I don't like it very much. I'm not gonna lie.
💚Back home now for a nice high-protein lunch just do a bit of recovery and have a restful afternoon actually watching the tennis from yesterday in America

💪I loved doing the functional training because it just helps me to use my body naturally so that all the things that I'm getting to do now in my early 60s
😀It's getting easier and easier and I'm preparing myself for a manageable older age which is a win-win

Quick car video just really grateful to be doing a combination of things today that are keeping me feeling healthy and well.
Been drinking my water
Been moving at the gym and I'm getting stronger and stronger
Enjoying the spring and all the flowers
I'm looking forward to a social evening with some nice company and food

🧡 so easily I've just sacked it off and then now I wouldn't be feeling the way I do

🧡Working in nutrition I see that the science is emerging all the time

💚That said, food and drink doesn't have to be complicated

🧡Food is your ally, it's my ally

💚Whenever you're thinking about a regime change for your health, always think "what food do I love?" and keep it in there and find a way of using it to make your body feel amazing

🧡Then think about all the food you hate and don't ever eat it if you don't want to again if it doesn't make you feel good no matter how healthy it might be if you don't want to eat it don't put yourself through it....if you don't love to eat it there's no point

💚Food should be something you love and enjoy and balance is always a key

💚Tofu is an excellent protein source

🧡Tofu is a great fermented food

💚Tofu LOVES marinades

🧡Just a simple step like listing your food likes and dislikes stops you from making food choices you feel you must rather than embracing food you love and making it work for you.

WELCOME TO THE HUB

The Lime Tree Wellness Hub was set up in 2018

It was originally a personal blog just in a different page and a way of communicating with the outside world after finishing a career in mental health nursing. The aim of the page was pretty much to write a blog about life and how everyday stuff impacts on our body and mind.. it was about people, things, food and healthy living. I also set up a coffee group with some like minded people wanting to chat about everyday things and our food choices. This also included a coffee morning and health walking.

I’m taking an exciting step in my direction of travel and hopefully of yours. This page and my website (to be launched in July 2020).

These page and the website are going to filled with content which will hopefully make our lives fuller, give us insights and hope. They educate and inform us and It would be great if they could give us a feeling that we can do anything. I hope they will be a good read, beautiful to look at, they will be food for thought and above everything you will want to share them and keep coming back.
