Hey lovely Facebook network. I am currently looking for some virtual admin/executive assistant support.
Currently looking for 5-8hrs a week from a self employed person. Completely virtual and flexible hours. Possibility of increased hours over time. Starting salary £14/hour.

My business has 2 parts including a child clinical psychology practice and an online coaching program.

Main parts of the role:
➡️Managing email inbox
➡️Booking and managing appts
➡️Managing patient records and uploading clinical documents
➡️Report formatting
➡️Additional mini projects to set up business processes/templates

It would also be a bonus for someone to have social media experience but this is not essential. There is the option of possible additional hours developing my online business and social media presence.

I am looking for a trustworthy, efficient, detail oriented person but also someone who is looking to develop within the role and who enjoys the work. You should also be organised and able to problem solve but also not be afraid to ask questions and gain clarity where needed. Ideally looking for someone with existing admin/PA experiences.

I am really excited to find my right-hand person and for the right person there is access to further development, especially if you have an interest in developing social media marketing skills.

If you would like to find out more so I can send you the full requirements please DM me and others if you could please share this with your network or have anyone you could refer to me please do and share this post! 🙏🏻💜

World mental health day.
When I re-read what I had written I worried that it was too negative amongst all the positive posts today. However, I feel there is an important message for parents to hear.

⭐️Maintaining connection to our children in todays society is hard, but a lack of connection or a misattunement to a child’s needs is a very comment pattern that we see in clinic for children experiencing mental health problems.

As parents we already feel so much guilt and this isn’t to add to this, but parents often ask me “what can I do differently or to help.”

➡️Make active and conscious decisions everyday to connect with your child
➡️Listen more then you talk (especially with teenagers)
➡️Learn how to validate feelings rather then just ‘fix’
➡️Insist on family time despite protests
➡️Spend as much 1on1 distraction free time with your children (especially while they are young)
➡️Don’t let peers replace parental connection

⭐️I am going to be offering more on this subject soon!

Private ADHD assessments have had some bad press recently with online companies cutting costs and taking short cuts. We guarantee a thorough and comprehensive assessment of your child’s needs and unique profile so you can walk away feeling confident and with a greater understanding of your child’s needs.

We follow (and go over and above) NHS and NICE guidelines for assessment.

Our assessments can be used towards the EHCP process.

Disclaimer: I have been known to eat pizza with pineapple on! Apologies.

Children are going through such a huge development physically, emotionally and cognitively. It is important to be aware of this when we parent and to not assume our child is just a small adult. Here are some differences:

➡️Physical differences: Children's bodies are not yet fully developed, and they have unique physical needs that are different to adults. For example, they need more sleep, they are more susceptible to dehydration, and their immune systems are not yet fully developed.
➡️Cognitive differences: Children's brains are still developing, and they have different cognitive abilities than adults. They may have trouble with abstract thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making, which can affect their behavior and decision-making.
➡️Emotional differences: Children may not have the same emotional regulation skills as adults and may struggle with identifying and expressing their emotions. It's important to provide them with support and guidance in managing their feelings.
➡️Social differences: Children are still learning social skills and need guidance in navigating social interactions. They may struggle with impulse control, sharing, taking turns, and empathy.

By understanding and acknowledging these differences, parents can adjust their parenting style to meet their child's unique needs. This may include using age-appropriate language, providing clear boundaries and consistent consequences, and allowing for play and exploration. It can also help parents to have more realistic expectations of their child's behavior and abilities. Ultimately, recognizing that children are not small adults can lead to more effective and positive parenting strategies.

Out teenagers are navigating a lot; new experiences, changes in their bodies & brains, social media, the internet, education, social relationships, alongside a growing sense of independence. Finding ways to connect with them and affirm them at bedtime (or anytime of the day) can really help.

➡️Boosting self-esteem: Affirmations can help teens develop a positive self-image and improve their self-esteem. They can reinforce positive qualities and strengths, and help them recognize and appreciate their own worth.
➡️Encouraging positivity: Affirmations can help shift a teen's mindset from negative or self-critical to positive and empowering. This can help them approach challenges with a more optimistic outlook and a greater sense of resilience.
➡️Providing validation: Affirmations can be a way of validating a teen's experiences, feelings, and perspectives. They can help them feel seen and heard, and that their thoughts and feelings matter.
➡️Strengthening relationships: Affirmations can help build trust and strengthen the relationship between parents and teens. They can provide a safe and supportive environment for communication and connection.
➡️Improving mental health: Affirmations can have a positive impact on mental health by reducing stress, anxiety, and negative self-talk. This can improve overall well-being and contribute to a more positive outlook on life.

Staying connected to your teenager and maintaining a strong relationship can help promote open communication, trust, mental well-being and support during the challenging and often tumultuous adolescent years.

When parents are actively involved in their teenager's life and show an interest in their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, it can help them feel valued and understood. This can in turn encourage them to turn to you for guidance and support, rather than seeking out unhealthy or risky behaviors or influence.

Overall, staying connected with teenagers is an important way for parents to support their child's healthy development and to foster a positive and supportive relationship.

My free connection guide talks about these techniques in more details - link in bio.

At The Child Psychology Hub we offer a range of services to support parents, children and adolescents.

- For children, gaining a deeper understanding of thinking patterns, triggers and relationships in therapy can all be helpful in addressing mental health struggles. Our psychologists often work with multiple therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP).

- We provide mental health assessment for a wide range of difficulties experienced by children and offer tailored advice and treatment plans to address the challenges you are facing.

- We know parenting is hard and if your child is also suffering mental struggles then it becomes even harder. For parents, having a safe non-judgmental space to discuss your struggles with a qualified professional can help increase your parenting confidence and trust in your innate parenting wisdom. Understanding how brains work and develop could also be key in deepening the connection with your child. By translating brain and behaviour science into easy-to-follow steps and strategies you can support your child to reach their full potential.
