So often we think exercise has to be hard, sweaty, or time-consuming to “count”… but that’s not true. Gentle movement can be just as powerful, especially when your energy is low or your mind feels full.

Today, try something simple 🌿
Stretch your arms above your head
Roll your shoulders
Take a slow walk, even if it’s just around the block
Or put some music on and have a little sway in the kitchen

Let it be easy. Let it feel kind to your body.

As you move, notice what shifts ✨
Does your breathing change?
Do your shoulders soften?
Does your mood lift, even just a little?

The way you see things does not just reflect your day, it shapes it.
The same situation can feel overwhelming or manageable depending on the story we tell ourselves about it.

When something feels tough, our thoughts often go straight to the worst case 😔
This is a natural response, especially when life has felt heavy for a while. But those thoughts are not always the full picture.

Gently shifting your perspective can ease stress and help you feel more in control 🌼

The warmth of sunlight resting on your skin. The comforting aroma of your morning coffee. The steady, calming rhythm of your own breath. These are the moments that soften life and make it feel meaningful, if we allow ourselves to truly notice them.

Before the noise of the day begins, before the messages, the to-do lists, the rushing, there is a small window of time that belongs just to you.

And even 2 minutes of calm in that space can gently shift the tone of your whole day.

It is not about perfect routines or early starts.
It is about small, intentional moments.

How we begin the day can shape our mood, focus, and stress levels. When we start in a state of calm rather than urgency, our nervous system settles, and everything feels just a little more manageable.

Welcome to Mirthful May 🌼

This month, we’re focusing on something simple but powerful… JOY.

Not the big, expensive, once-in-a-while kind.
But the quiet kind. The everyday kind.
The kind that lives in small moments we often rush past without noticing.

A warm cup of tea.
A deep breath in fresh air.
A song that makes you smile.
A moment of calm in the middle of a busy day.

These moments might seem small… but they matter more than we realise.

Psychology shows us that noticing and savouring these little moments can gently lift our mood, reduce stress, and help us feel more like ourselves again. And the best part? They’re already there, waiting for us; we just need to slow down enough to see them.

Somthing for our north Derbyshire people 📷

We are back with our reconnecting with nature for mental health and wellbeing support on the 6th of May,
Everyone is welcome to join this safe space for a bit extra support 😀

We meet at 11am at the Holmehall Community Hub 41 Mercaston Close at 11am and go out a on photography support walk while reconnecting with nature at 12pm 🙂

Its a place to gain some support, make friends, feel part of the community and learn some new skills while connecting with nature 🙂

No pressure to take pics or to talk but if you want to we are here for support 🙂

We also have weekly, fortnightly and monthly peer support, breakfast club, confidence building trips, creative exhibitions, workshops, wellbeing retreat sessions and an art group plus more 😀
