👣 Tiny toes, big story
Did you know your baby’s footprints are already completely unique at birth? Just like fingerprints, no two are ever the same — and they’ll never change, only grow. 💗
That’s why those tiny footprints we treasure in keepsakes are more than just adorable… they’re a one-of-a-kind imprint of your little one’s journey into the world.
✨ Every step they take will always begin with these first prints.

TRUST MOTHER NATURE 🌿
Your body knows the way. Just as the seasons shift and nature flows with ease, pregnancy invites us to trust in the wisdom within. 🤰
Mama, take a deep breath, place your hands on your growing bump, and remind yourself: You and your baby are part of nature’s perfect rhythm. 🍃

SELF-CARE REMINDER 🍁 As we start to enter autumn this is a time to start focusing on slowing down and embracing a new season.
SELF-CARE TIP
Take 15–20 minutes each morning to connect with the changing season. Step outside, feel the crisp September air, and notice the autumn leaves. Use this quiet moment to breathe deeply, reflect, and set gentle intentions for your day.
This small ritual helps you:
* Reconnect with your body and mind after sleepless nights
* Embrace the balance and change that September represents
* Ground yourself in new beginnings, both for you and your baby
💛 Bonus: Pair it with a warm drink, a soft blanket, or your baby in a carrier nearby. Let this be a moment of calm, restoration, and mindful presence.

SEPTEMBER BABY FUN FACT
Babies born near the Autumn Equinox arrive at a unique moment when day and night are nearly equal. Researchers suggest that this season of birth can shape your baby’s early development.
Scroll across to find out why…
✨ Circadian rhythms – The balance of light and dark around the equinox may help regulate sleep and biological rhythms.✨ Emotional wellbeing – Studies link autumn births with a lower risk of depression and bipolar disorder later in life.✨ Balance & harmony – Symbolically, equinox-born babies are thought to embody equilibrium from the very beginning.
A fascinating mix of science and symbolism—just like your little one. 🍂💛

HELLO SEPTEMBER 🍁September is the month to focus on balance and celebrating change and new beginnings.
🌗 Around the Autumn Equinox, day and night are equal—a reminder for you to honoor your own balance. If you’re pregnant, this is a time for you to move between energy and rest, anticipation and surrender. Paying attention to this rhythm helps you feel grounded and connected.
🍂 You may notice changes happening, both in your body and in your life. Just as the leaves turn and fall, allow yourself to let go of what no longer serves you, making space for the new life you are nurturing.
🌱 If you are a new mother this is a time to welcome and celebrate new beginnings.
Motherhood is not only the start of your baby’s journey—it is the start of a new chapter for you as well.
Take time this September for moments of peace, reflection, and trust that you are exactly where you need to be. 💫

REAL MOTHERHOOD IS… what words would you use?
When we’re pregnant we often have an idea in mind of what motherhood is going to be like. But when our baby is here, it’s rarely how we imagined and it’s full of contradictions.
Motherhood is raw, amazing rewarding, tough, relentless and a whole lot more to each one of us.
Yet despite how hard it can be that deep and indescribable love we feel for our baby makes every moment worthwhile.
How would you describe motherhood and how is it different from what you imagined it to be? We’d love to know in the comments below. ❤️

MAKE TIME FOR YOU 🌸
☕️ As a mum we can often feel guilty if we spend any time away from our baby. But remember, you can’t pour from an empty cup. Motherhood is 24/7 and throw in sleep deprivation, it doesn’t make much to deplete us.
🤲 As it’s a long weekend, over the next few days perhaps you can take advantage of the fact that you might have an extra pair of hands and give yourself some time just for YOU.
💄Have a think about what makes you feel good. A brisk walk outdoors, grabbing a coffee baby-free or treating yourself to something new to wear. It doesn’t have to be long but even the smallest thing can help give us a boost!
Let us know what you’re up to below!❤️

BABIES CAN SMELL THEIR MOTHER FROM BIRTH 👩🍼
Did you know that studies have shown that if you place a newborn between their mother and another woman, they’ll instinctively turn toward their mother’s scent — even with their eyes closed. Here’s why:
👶A human’s sense of smell develops early – The olfactory system (responsible for smell) starts forming in the womb around 8 weeks, and by the third trimester, it’s working well enough for babies to detect and respond to scents in the amniotic fluid.
👶Scent recognition is key for survival – In nature, recognising a parent helps a newborn stay close to safety, warmth, and food.
👶Breast milk is uniquely scented – Your milk carries your personal scent, influenced by your diet and natural body chemistry. This helps guide your baby to the breast for feeding.
👶Comfort & bonding – The smell of their mother’s skin and milk releases calming hormones in babies, helping them feel secure and reducing stress.
Just one of the reasons why nature and babies are so fascinating! 🌿

WHY WE LOVE BABY YOGA!
There are so many reasons why we love baby yoga. It’s not just fun but based on research has so many benefits for you and your baby:
🌟Supports baby’s physical development – Gentle movement and stretching help strengthen muscles, improve coordination, and support motor milestones like rolling, crawling, and walking.
🌟Enhances bonding – Touch, eye contact, and shared rhythmic movement release oxytocin (“the love hormone”), deepening emotional connection between you and your baby. 💞
🌟Aids digestion & sleep – Certain yoga-inspired movements stimulate the digestive system, easing colic, wind, and constipation, while relaxation techniques promote better sleep.³😴
🌟Supports mums’ wellbeing – Baby yoga can reduce postnatal stress and anxiety, gently reintroduce movement, and help you feel more confident in your new role.🌸
Baby yoga isn’t just for babies — it’s a nurturing, science-backed practice for both of you. 💛

There’s a quiet power in your body — ancient, instinctive, and beautifully wise. 🤍
You don’t have to figure it all out.You don’t have to do more. You just have to trust the incredible wisdom already within you.
✨ Your body is not just changing — it's guiding.✨ Your intuition is not just real — it's reliable.
Lean into that trust. You were made for this. 🌿

I'll never ask you if you've had your baby yet, or if you're still pregnant. But I always say I'll be thinking of you and when you're ready and if it feels right, I'd love to know how you're doing. Knowing that those weeks shared made a difference to you is just a giant cherry on an incredible cake.

"We wobble in life and we wobble in yoga."
If you've been to my PregnancyBliss classes you'll probably have heard me say this. It's OK to wobble making the tree pose, and it's OK to wobble when we are about to take on the next big life event.
Let's wobble together. (Wobble is a brilliant word to say over and over again too 😂)

I want to bottle the good times, because they get me through the tough times.
This half term has been good, and I'm going to make a lot of bottles from it 💜

Review of dreams! In stitches reading messages in this baby massage WhatsApp group, they don't half make me laugh. This is what it's all about - creating a community to lift you up when you need it!
In every course I create a WhatsApp group for you to use as you wish, in classes we get to know each other and share how we're doing, in the WhatsApp group you keep each other going, share ideas, have a laugh, and in this one - photoshop each other in to group photos 😂
07/02/2025
School photos today 😂 they made me get in it 😂
Honestly though, the support these guys give each other is wonderful. A truly brilliant group of women raising the future. (minus some key people here, but they're here in spirit!) I'll miss not catching up with them each week! They came for the babies, but left with something for themselves too and I've been so lucky to be a part of that!

Pregnant with a toddler in tow? Pregnancy hits different 😅
No naps
No time for you
Sometimes in denial
Bouts of guilt
Often worried about the future
Always exhausted.
Definitely worth it
Keep going 💜

Hello, my name is Rose Hibberd, and I teach one to one MamaBabyBliss sessions in Derby. I also volunteer at the Royal Derby Hospital Mother and Baby Unit, offering Baby Massage and Baby Yoga to the mums and babies there.
I’m mum to little Elijah and cat Bruno, and I have 10 years’ experience volunteering and working in mental health, supporting sufferers across Derbyshire. When Elijah was born in 2016, I was admitted to the Derby Mother and Baby Unit with severe Postnatal Depression.
Coming through the other side, my passion to support other women grew. I hope to help prevent the onset of perinatal mental health difficulties through MamaBabyBliss classes, which aim to provide parents to be with tools such as breathing and relaxation, as well as many ways to help with bonding with baby.
MamaBabyBliss was founded in 2006 by Justina Perry with the sole purpose of supporting mothers, babies and mums-to-be throughout their pregnancy and motherhood. After having her first daughter Natasha, Justina suffered from postnatal depression. During this difficult phase she experienced first-hand, the benefits of baby massage in bonding with her baby. Following the birth of her second daughter Alana, Justina was made redundant and having never forgotten her own experience of early motherhood, she was inspired to set up MamaBabyBliss to help support mothers on their journey into motherhood.Beginning with only Justina’s baby classes and pregnancy treatments in North London, her classes and treatments became so popular with mums that they soon expanded into a curriculum of 11 classes and workshops and pregnancy and new mum treatments to support mums and their babies from pregnancy to when their babies are three-years-old.
MamaBabyBliss Training Courses
In 2010, having read an article that the biggest number of redundancies in the UK were part-time working mothers, Justina decided to develop a Teacher Training Programme and Licence, which would enable women to become a MamaBabyBliss teacher and run their own licensed business to work around their family’s needs. Today we have a network of teachers offering hundreds of MamaBabyBliss classes nationwide.
MamaBabyBliss Pregnancy Massage
In 2013, again to ensure that mums and mums-to-be were pampered in all aspects of their wellbeing, Justina developed a MamaBabyBliss Pregnancy Massage Training Course which enables our Affiliate Salons and Therapists to offer pregnancy and new mum treatments nationwide. We now have over 50 salons nationwide offering pregnancy and postnatal treatments.
