...for a break!
This winter course will be my last for a while! 🥹🥹 I'm not stopping forever, no way, Pregnancy Yoga classes are one of my favourite things and I cannot tell you how much I care about all the women I've been lucky enough to meet. But I'm pressing pause for these reasons...
1) I want to make sure I'm available for the people who need me. I don't want to cancel courses and let people down!
2) I have been given some exciting news about my other working hat as a Speech and Language Therapist, and it's something I want to really focus on.
I've got a wonderful group of mamas to be to complete the final course with, and I'm going to make sure they are as nurtured as the very first group of ladies were, and all those that followed after!

Let’s face it as a busy mum, it can be nigh impossible to find time for ourselves that’s why we need to grab the opportunity when we can.
It’s no secret that sometimes the only place that babies seem to nod off straight away is in the car! So why not treat that time as an opportunity to grab a cuppa and enjoy some peace and quiet for yourself. You’ll be nicely restored and revived for when your baby wakes up! ☕️

Did you know that babies born in November are naturally “mini night owls.”
Research on seasonal birth patterns suggests that babies born in late autumn may have a slightly later natural sleep-wake rhythm — perhaps because they first experience longer nights in the womb. It’s like they arrive ready to savour the cosy, quiet evenings of autumn! Good news for any new parent!🌙✨

PregnancyBliss Yoga is sold out again this term and I wanted to do a special shout out to those who have booked, and continue to book, on to my courses, both new and repeat mamas and mamas to be. But also to my insta supporters who like, comment and share things when I post them!
I'm so looking forward to this winter term course. Change is a 'comin in the new year but for now I'm excited for cosy candle evenings, catch ups and relaxation while we stretch our bodies. Big love to you all! Lucy ###

No Christmas songs here yet! November is a month full of love here, with birthdays and anniversaries all over the place! My bros birthday, my own birthday, my sister in laws birthday, my beautiful sons birthday, and finishing with our wedding anniversary, when every year I still cannot believe we found each other and thank my lucky stars. Not just a yoga class...
These ladies met when they were pregnant. They shared the highs and the lows of pregnancy each week, they laughed with each other and supported each other when times were hard. They didn't know each other before they started the course. But someone one day suggested a meet up...and now they know they can message each other in the middle of the night and someone else will be up and understand.
It takes a village to raise a baby, and sometimes we don't always have a village nearby, so we gotta build our own.
I can't tell you how happy I was to get this photo! I hope all the ladies I've had on my pregnancy yoga courses are doing well. Feel free to send updates like this whenever you like 🥰

Why?
1) Feeling empowered, better able to advocate for yourself, knowing the process. I thought the less I knew the better, but when it came to it, I wish I knew how to use my voice in a confusing and medical system.
2) Instead of 300 muslins as gifts for your baby shower, get your friends to book you an antenatal or post natal massage! Instead of buying a load of new clothes that they will grow out of in a week, buy yourself some nutritious and freshly cooked meals and treats that you can freeze for any moment. Book a pedicure for after due date! Babies don't need much. YOU will need a lot of self care and love. And if you're feeling good, your baby will feel that too.
3) “I had this, this happened to me, are you sure? Are they sure, have you tried this? I think this. You'll regret this, you better do that." Friends, colleagues, family, health professionals. They all have a lot to say. Turn them down and tune into what you are feeling.

Hello, my name is Rose Hibberd, and I teach one to one MamaBabyBliss sessions in Derby. I also volunteer at the Royal Derby Hospital Mother and Baby Unit, offering Baby Massage and Baby Yoga to the mums and babies there.
I’m mum to little Elijah and cat Bruno, and I have 10 years’ experience volunteering and working in mental health, supporting sufferers across Derbyshire. When Elijah was born in 2016, I was admitted to the Derby Mother and Baby Unit with severe Postnatal Depression.
Coming through the other side, my passion to support other women grew. I hope to help prevent the onset of perinatal mental health difficulties through MamaBabyBliss classes, which aim to provide parents to be with tools such as breathing and relaxation, as well as many ways to help with bonding with baby.
MamaBabyBliss was founded in 2006 by Justina Perry with the sole purpose of supporting mothers, babies and mums-to-be throughout their pregnancy and motherhood. After having her first daughter Natasha, Justina suffered from postnatal depression. During this difficult phase she experienced first-hand, the benefits of baby massage in bonding with her baby. Following the birth of her second daughter Alana, Justina was made redundant and having never forgotten her own experience of early motherhood, she was inspired to set up MamaBabyBliss to help support mothers on their journey into motherhood.Beginning with only Justina’s baby classes and pregnancy treatments in North London, her classes and treatments became so popular with mums that they soon expanded into a curriculum of 11 classes and workshops and pregnancy and new mum treatments to support mums and their babies from pregnancy to when their babies are three-years-old.
MamaBabyBliss Training Courses
In 2010, having read an article that the biggest number of redundancies in the UK were part-time working mothers, Justina decided to develop a Teacher Training Programme and Licence, which would enable women to become a MamaBabyBliss teacher and run their own licensed business to work around their family’s needs. Today we have a network of teachers offering hundreds of MamaBabyBliss classes nationwide.
MamaBabyBliss Pregnancy Massage
In 2013, again to ensure that mums and mums-to-be were pampered in all aspects of their wellbeing, Justina developed a MamaBabyBliss Pregnancy Massage Training Course which enables our Affiliate Salons and Therapists to offer pregnancy and new mum treatments nationwide. We now have over 50 salons nationwide offering pregnancy and postnatal treatments.
