🌀Not all change is chosen.🌀

Sometimes it arrives quietly.
Sometimes it rearranges everything.

A job shifts.
A relationship alters.
A role you carried for years no longer fits.
And suddenly you are standing in the in between.

We are often encouraged to find answers quickly.
To be certain.
To move on.

Yet uncertainty is not weakness.
It is a human response to change.
There is courage in allowing yourself to not have it all figured out.
There is strength in pausing rather than forcing clarity.

Person Centred Therapy offers a steady, grounded space where you can explore what is shifting, at your pace.

No pressure.
No fixing.
Just understanding, compassion, and room to breathe.

You do not have to navigate this season alone.

🧸Childrens Mental Health🧸

Childrens Mental Health Awareness Week invites us to pause and truly listen.

Children do not always have the language for what they feel, but their behaviour often speaks with honesty and courage. Anxiety, low mood and emotional distress can quietly shape a child’s world long before it is noticed.

In the UK, 1 in 6 children experience a mental health difficulty. Behind this statistic is a child longing to feel safe, understood and accepted exactly as they are.

When we offer children patience instead of pressure, curiosity instead of correction, we give them something powerful. We give them permission to be human.

Support does not need to be perfect. It needs to be present. A listening ear, a calm space, a trusting relationship can gently change the direction of a young life.

This week, and every week, let us remember that nurturing emotional wellbeing in childhood is not an extra. It is a foundation.

Today is Time to Talk Day.

A quiet invitation to pause.
To soften the shoulders.
To remember that you do not have to carry everything alone.

In the UK, one in four people will experience a mental health difficulty each year. Many do so in silence, believing they must stay strong, capable, composed. Yet healing so often begins with something far simpler.
A conversation. A moment of being heard without judgement.

Sometimes the hardest words to ask are are you okay. And so we find other ways.
💛I have noticed you seem quieter lately.
💛How have things been feeling for you recently.
💛You have been on my mind. Do you want to talk.
💛What has been taking up space for you at the moment.
💛I am here if you want to share anything.

As a person centred therapist, I believe deeply in the power of safe, compassionate space. When someone is truly listened to, something gentle shifts. Words find their way out. Breath deepens. Hope begins to return.

If today feels heavy, let it be the day you speak.
If someone comes to mind, let it be the day you listen.
Small conversations can become turning points.

You are not a burden.
Your story matters.
And there is always room for your voice.

❌Therapy is Not…❌

Therapy is not advice giving.

It is not being told what to do or who to be.

It is not someone analysing you or searching for what is “wrong”.

It is not judgement.

It is not being rushed to change.

It is not having to explain or defend your feelings.

It is not a test you can fail.

It is not about fixing you.

It is not about being positive or coping better at all costs.

For many people, understanding what therapy is not helps the idea of starting to feel safer and more human.

🤷‍♀️ When to consider Therapy 🤷‍♀️

You might consider therapy when life looks “fine” on the outside,
but inside you feel stretched, tired, or quietly overwhelmed.

When you notice you are always pushing through,
rarely pausing to ask how you truly are.

When it has been a long time since you felt at ease with yourself.

Therapy is not only for moments of crisis.
It can be a space to slow down, to reflect, and to understand what your experience is asking of you.

💭Sometimes the question is not what is wrong,
but what needs care, attention, and space.

💛Eating disorders often live quietly.💛

Behind capable smiles. Behind routine. Behind the words “I’m fine”.

This February, during Eating Disorders Awareness Month 2026, we pause to bring light to what is so often unseen. Eating disorders are not about food, appearance, or willpower. They are complex responses to emotional pain, trauma, loss, pressure, and the need to feel safe in a world that can feel overwhelming.

Many people struggle in silence, believing they are not unwell enough, not thin enough, not visible enough to deserve support. Awareness reminds us that suffering does not need to be extreme to be real. Early understanding saves lives.

Compassion opens doors that shame keeps closed.

Recovery is not linear. It does not look one way. It is not loud or dramatic. Often, it begins quietly with being believed, being listened to, and being met with kindness rather than judgement.

This month is an invitation
💛To learn rather than assume,
💛To listen rather than fix,
💛To speak with care,
🫶And to remember that help is allowed.

If this touches something in you, know that you are not alone. Your experience matters. Support exists, and you deserve it at any stage of your journey.

💭Reflection Post 💭

Where you feel most emotionally drained often holds quiet truth.

Not every tiredness comes from doing too much.

Sometimes it comes from being in places where your needs are unseen, your voice feels small, or your energy is constantly required.
Reflection invites a different kind of listening.

It asks not what is wrong with you, but what in your life is asking for attention.

When you pause and notice where your emotional energy is leaking, you begin to understand yourself more deeply.

And in that understanding, new choices can slowly emerge.
You are allowed to be curious about your exhaustion.

It may be guiding you towards greater honesty, care, and alignment.

❔Why do boundaries feel so hard?

For many of us, boundaries were never modelled.

We learned to adapt, to please, to stay connected by staying quiet.

So when we begin to speak our limits, it can feel unsettling.
It can feel like risk, even when it is an act of care.

Boundaries are not a rejection of others.
They are a reconnection with your inner world.

Each time you honour your limits, you move a little closer to authenticity, safety, and emotional clarity.

And slowly, relationships begin to feel less like performance and more like presence.

🫧Boundaries are not about pushing people away 🫧

They are about inviting healthier connection in.

When we honour our limits, we create space for respect, understanding, and emotional safety.

Boundaries help us show others how to meet us with care, rather than silence or resentment.

You are allowed to pause.
You are allowed to say no.
You are allowed to choose what feels right for you.

Each boundary you set is an act of self respect and emotional courage.
And over time, those small acts can transform the way you experience your relationships.

🧠💭Burnout does not always look dramatic.

Often, it looks like getting through the day while feeling quietly exhausted inside.

In the UK, work related stress is one of the leading causes of poor mental health.

Many people continue to function, meet expectations, and care for others while feeling emotionally overwhelmed.

If this feels familiar, it does not mean you are failing.

It may simply mean you have been carrying too much for too long.
From a person centred perspective, change begins with noticing rather than judging.

You might start by paying attention to what feels most draining, and what feels even slightly supportive.

Small shifts in awareness can make a meaningful difference over time.
You deserve more than survival mode.
