Yesterday, we took part in ‘Wear It Pink Day’ for a fantastic charity very close to our hearts here at William Gregg VC, Breast Cancer Now💗

We held a cake sale in reception and all our staff wore pink. A big thank you to everybody who donated and took part!

Whilst we had fun yesterday, the work of the charity and the awareness of the cause is much more important.

Remember, Breast Cancer isn’t race, age or gender specific.

Restart a Heart Day may have been yesterday, but its message lives on: CPR and AED devices save lives. 🧡

Just ask Madan, one of our members, whose life was saved after he had a cardiac arrest at his local centre. Thanks to the knowledge, skills, and training that our People have in CPR and AED intervention, our People at the centre were able to successfully resuscitate Madan.

Led by Resuscitation Council UK, Restart a Heart Day is an annual initiative which raises awareness of cardiac arrests and helps more People learn CPR - giving them the skills and confidence to save a life. We love seeing our centres getting involved every year by helping our Communities get hands-on training in CPR and defibrillator use - working together to boost survival rates and build lifesaving skills! ✅

Please be aware that Hand’s road will be closed between 19:00 and 06:00 on 16/17th October, for resurfacing works.

Access for staff and customers will be maintained during the works. However, there might be occasions when plant is operating directly across the access road. Which may mean slightly delays in getting to us.

Please allow extra time for your visit between those hours, remain patient with the road workers and drive with caution as they may be working in the middle of the road.
