Did you know that in the Homoeopathic Repertory (the index of symptoms and possible remedies) there are THREE PAGES of potential remedies for "Irritability". Now that's what you call individualised medicine!

It's nearly the end of November and once again I've been pretty slack on social media postings! But I promise that's all for the right reasons.

I'm seeing a variety of new mind and body cases (thank you so much for your referrals), which means lots of condition and medication research. And of course lots of lovely time spent listening, and hearing the stories that have shaped our body and minds.

Recently I've worked with stress, anxiety, PMT, fibromyalgia, grief, shock, post surgical knee pain, sciatic pain, back pain, scoliosis, cervical radiculopathy (neck/arm/nerve pain), jaw pain and nervous system dysregulation.

Chronic conditions can flare during seasonal change (Summer to Autumn and then Autumn to Winter) so some people need more support during these times or have an increased susceptibility to illness and aches for a while.

It's all part of natures rhythms.

Good morning lovely people 🌿

Our time is precious & we are all supporting ourselves in a difficult economic climate.

To reflect that, but at the same time acknowledge that I'm right here in it too, I'm going halves with you.

I have adjusted my cancellation policy from the previous 100% to 50% at 48 hours.

This is now clear on the website, booking confirmations and reminders.

🌐 F A S C I A ~ How does it look in a human body?

When you feel like liquid, it's not as strange as it seems!

"Strolling under the skin" is the pioneering footage that changed an historic understanding about how we're constructed, and opened up a new conversation about how that construction moves in a three dimensional way.

Discarded in years of anatomy studies carried out on cadavers, this dynamic, constantly changing fluid network had never been seen before in a living body.

Since then scientists, therapists, movement educators and pain experts have learned much more about the properties of FASCIA, and how we can work with it therapeutically for whole health and optimal movement.

Demonstrating a seated Myofascial Therapy method known as a Transverse Plane technique which is a through body compression typically held for at least 3-5 minutes (often much longer) to allow time for the fascia of the upper body to respond.

These Sustained Indirect techniques are capable of influencing broad areas, and can have a global effect; enabling all the surrounding structures to be contacted in one gentle, relaxing hold.

With these "techniques" less is more.

Through patient stillness the tensional changes and resulting movements of the fascial network can be heard through touch and also therapeutic dialogue.
